No I don't. :( I would have stopped and picked up something if I had worked it out sooner. By the time I realised what was going on, there was nowhere open within walking distance. Feeling mighty sorry for myself at the mo.

Hey, hey! 1lb isn't bad, especially if you are building muscle at the same time as dropping fat. Well done! :) I will most certainly be pushing it with you......I so wish my scale wasn't crossing the Atlantic!

Feeling a little better today. Headache was gone when I woke up although I woke up at 4am with another nightmare! That's twice in about a week. I rarely have bad dreams so this is not cool!

Pretty shattered after an 11 hour day in the office. New starter today who needed training and will continue to need help for the next few days to get a good foothold. Temporary colleague commented that my arms look slimmer already - very cool! Lovely permanent colleague told me later that I look slimmer to her already - very cool x 2! I have definitely lost a lot of the bloat. Still got a long way to go but I am DE-TER-MINED!

Found 21p in roadkill on the way to work (yes, I still pick up pennies!) and spent the grand total of 49p on a pint of milk. Not doing bad at watching the pennies! Still pulling in pocket change from Qmee too. No intention of losing out on money just because am DF!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the sunshine.....I hear it's set to end tomorrow....booooo!

Another lovely run home this evening and I am feeling gooooood! Next week I am taking my minimum run up to 3 miles - that was always the way I ran when I was in shape. I didn't consider it a workout unless it was 3 miles AND at least 30 minutes long. So, as of next week, that rule goes back into force.

Feeling absolutely wonderful at the moment! Feels like life is falling into place somewhat and I am taking time again to enjoy bits of it!

Having a superb weekend at my sister's. I haven't gone into work at all which is a big deal for me at the moment! Time with my family is just so much more important given that I won't have this luxury in a couple of months.

Ran 4+ miles on Saturday and am off to run another 3 this afternoon. My freshly washed jeans not only fit me but were a little loose......next weekend I will try to wear the next size down. I am so excited that I feel a bit like a kid at Christmas!! :D Mr HOK3Y is dropping some weight on the other side of the Atlantic also. I think we will both be in for a shock when we next see each other.

It has been a little over 2 weeks since he left and it feels like forever. I do love where I am living and I love the extra time I am getting with my family. It still feels very strange not to have him close by.

Both of us are doing a decent job of keeping our spending down. I bought a batch of very cheap t-shirts in Primarni yesterday so that I am prepared for a very hot few months when I move. Heat is not something I enjoy .....why the heck am I moving to MS!?!?

Hoping everyone is doing well and that the debts are all moving in the right direction. X

Well I am still sitting at work on a Wednesday night, letting my light dinner settle before heading out to run home. It is raining and miserable.....and I don't have anything waterproof so I am anticipating arriving at home a little damp! I have definitely lost a chunk of the pudge though. One co-worker said I look like I've dropped half a stone and I think that's about right. Hard to know without a scale but I've definitely dropped a dress size. I feel an awful lot better even though I know I have a long way to go.

Had a discussion with Mr HOK3Y today about taking a mortgage out on the house in the US when I get there so that we can gut it and renovate the inside entirely. It really needs some help and I don't want to live in a house that we spend years doing up. Been there, done that and I'm not interested in doing it again. I'd rather get a mortgage and start the insides from scratch so that a professional team can make it lovely in a short time frame. I need to feel that we have a permanent home that we are happy in. It needs new walls, ceilings, kitchen, bathrooms, floors - might as well let someone else take care of it all so that we can enjoy our lives.......then we can pay the mortgage off faster than the bank expects! :D

Our goods will be arriving in the US around mid June so that is when I am expecting the shell-shock of customs charges. I have truly no idea what to expect so am trying not to overthink it. I will just roll with whatever punch comes. Mr H tells me there is a lot of stuff to get rid of at the house so there will be a yard sale or two when I get there......that should be some pennies towards a bathroom remodel!

Other than that, I am trying to be good and not spend too much money. I have discovered it is difficult to be good once you feel you are in a better position. I have found myself having a chat with myself a few times about whether or not to buy something. I am doing pretty well and keeping it low for the most part. Already looking forward to my next payday....even though I am doing fine! I do love seeing the bank balance go up now!

Lots of love and luck to everyone - I'm off to slip into my runners and head out in the rain.

Things are going relatively well in the House of HOK3Y. Just finished a 4 mile run with a pace of 9:45 per mile - pretty good for me after several years of being lazy! The weight is dropping off and I feel better everyday.

Mr HOK3Y, on the other hand, is getting himself very stressed out while trying to find a job. It is not easy on either side of the Atlantic to find a paying 9-5. He's pretty bummed out but not as bummed out as he will be if he doesn't find one soon as I likely won't get my visa approved if he can't prove he can support me. Not that I would find it a hardship to remain here!!! But, all things considered, I would rather be with my hubby!

Heading into town today to hit some charity shops and look for a bargain or two.....hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. xx

    Hiya crimson and brizzle!

All is well in the house of HOK3Y and thanks for checking in on me! :) Mr H is perilously close to finding a decent job - 2nd interview sometime this coming week and they seem interested in him. Please all keep your fingers crossed as it sounds like a good opportunity and would put him on a better salary than he had here. I have managed to find a good replacement for me and she was offered the job last week. I still have no idea when I am leaving. My company has begged me not to leave. I have wanted to cry! I don't want to leave but I know I have to. It is humbling and heartening to know they value me so much. What on earth I will do without them all I don't know.

Meanwhile, operation drop-the-pounds is going well. Yesterday I ran 8.3 miles which is the longest run in about 3 years. I am definitely losing the pudge and feeling better everyday. Mr H is doing the same thing. Unfortunately, it has meant a few splurges as my running gear was mostly shipped but I have found some workable cropped runners in Primark amongst other things. My clothes are getting looser all the time and I am hoping that by the time I get to the States, I will be able to fit into all my small sized jeans that I love. I'll have a whole new wardrobe available to me......my old one! :D

Meanwhile, work have promised me a midterm bonus because of all my hard work so extra pennies are coming my way soon. I've never worked for a company like this. I am fairly convinced there isn't another like it! But then again, it is Saturday and I am typing this from the office......at 6.30pm.....and I've been here since 10.30am......so I have definitely worked for it!

Hope everyone else is doing well and chugging along. I am waiting to hear from Mr H next week on customs and any charges we face. Cross your fingers it's not too painful!
