One of my friends called me the other day - her hubby has been told he's paying for 4 tickets to their summer mess do, as most of his friends in the UK are already going to it he suggested she invite her friends - so I was invited and asked to find myself a date, in the absence of anyone I told her to invite one of our other friends. So her poor(?) husband will be escorting three women to the do who have a tendency to drink a little too much and have alot of fun when they're together. He on the other hand is a fairly reserved sensible individual.

The dress is floor length, but the only pair of shoes I have which would work colour wise are only a 2 inch heel and would mean I'd spend all night falling over my hem, the heels which mean I won't spend all night falling over the hem are 4 inches and bright blue and grey which doesn't work with a navy blue dress, and the only clutch bag I currently own is coral coloured..... Am just hoping I can find my silver wrap so I don't need to buy another one - the do is Black Tie, and I know from previous experience of military events that it'll be something of a faux pas not to have a jacket or wrap (despite the fact that they get discarded almost as soon as you arrive).

The other items are utterly boring filters for a water bottle but JL currently have them at £6.99 a pair while Tesco have them a £4 for one.

Work is not really improving, I'm getting more comfortable with the paperwork side of things and the food prep but still not enjoying it overall.

Online points earnings have gone well, thanks to being home all day yesterday I won a 50 point bonus on instagc for listening to the reward radio all day. I also did a sign up yesterday on swagbucks which credited today so another 50 sb towards my target there too.

I think now I'm working again I'm going to switch back to saving to redeem for £100 paypal at a time rather than the £25 a month I've been aiming for while I've been out of work - I used to be able to earn that in about 3 months so I think I should be able to manage that again.

Are you properly indoctrinated now and wanting to go out and buy stuff? ;)

    Any advantage to doing that?

Nope, no intention of buying more stuff than I already plan to get.

It's a better conversion rate for the points, hence roughly getting £100 every 3 months rather than the £25 a month I've been getting lately - but the £25 has near enough covered the payment on my sofa (£27/month) so knowing it was covered was a priority while I wasn't working, now I am I don't need to cash out as often so can wait for the better threshold.

£40 from onepoll has arrived in my paypal account and been withdrawn to my bank account, once it's there I'll pay it off the MBNA card balance.

    Additional shopping complete.

£22, for a clutch bag, £28 for matching shoes, £20 for a silver stole.

I just need to hope my toe is feeling less tender by a week on Friday so I can actually wear said shoes - I managed to stub my toe last night and have broken half of the nail off on my little toe and the other half is part torn off, the whole lot is currently held on with a plaster as attempts to pull it off completely was causing lots of pain and more blood.

    Is £20 a steal for a stole? ;)

    Nasty, nasty, nasty...

Remember to swathe it in antibiotics too.

What did you stub it on?

It's had antiseptic cream applied when I've changed the plaster on it - I stubbed it either on the edge of my bedroom door or the suitcase on the floor next to it.

Well be more careful, or we're going to have to get you anti toe-stubbing shoes...

Ohh I like those - do they do them with a 10cm heel? They'd go wonderfully with my dress.....
