Same most of the time my dates are friends of friends although most of my friends know that letting me date their other friends is risky for all concerned.

Well if you're dating friends of friends, the Date From Hell idea isn't the best.

Although there's a rather limited theoretical structure behind it, and scientists are just gradually analysing and measuring the phenomenon - gossip does actually travel faster than light...

Of course it does, and infinately faster than the truth. But there's still that somewhat perverse sense of fun in setting things up to start rumours and finding out who it gets back to you from and just how quickly.

And in the midst of all that, you're still on the look-out for a possible life-partner. No wonder women have to be good at multi-tasking...

Just checked my email have been accepted for the BT card I applied for, so need to rework my snowball taking it in to account.

I figure looking for a life partner is pointless, they're one of those elusive creatures who'll turn up when you don't expect it, or have run away to hide like mermaids and unicorns. ;)

I expect so. At which point I'll likely realise it when they don't run away screaming or just get in touch again afterwards.

I told the mermaids to keep pretending not to exist - hard enough for us landbound females to find a man without fighting against gorgeous aquatic women too. Never found a real unicorn so remain unsure as to their existance.

They only appear to virgins and the pure of heart. That's most of the country ruled out right there...
