Oddly enough the two of us ended up with the same logic as the last photo - if you can't be seen alone you're clearly hiding something.

Unfortunately, most of selling yourself consists of hiding *something*...

one a guy who must have been about 7 stone wet through, topless lounging "alluringly"against a wall, and at the other end of the scale (literally) someone who must have been morbidly obese with a thankfully clothed picture in a similar pose with the user name 'seximan' both had made contact with her and appeared to be genuine accounts.

Well ironically, I did come across this picture while searching for the previous ones:

But I can't really mock too much, as I think I would have to have drunk a fair amount before setting up one for myself...:eek::eek:

Naturally but when what you're hiding is your physical appearance.....never mind just your looks then maybe just maybe internet dating possibly isn't the way forward.

I have a feeling that noone should really be allowed to set up their own profiles, although that leaves the problem of which friend or friends would you really trust to do it for you?

Hmm the guys in that photo are too both bigger and smaller than the guys in question appeared to be - but frankly if that looks their best then I feel a whole lot better about myself!

Right, so what for you, is the distinction between someone's physical appearance and their looks?

It's probably a greater chance than normal bar dating surely? Especially if the person on the other end of the computer is just using a Braille reader...

You should always feel happy about yourself. You keep yourself fit, you're active and you're of better than average intelligence.

Layer over the top of that, your motivations and interests - and what is there to be sad about?

Hiding in a crowd is hiding physically, using a photo which is mostly shadows or has the face obscured somehow is hiding your looks.

Because only the person with a braille reader is likely to take a chance on someone they can't see for sure is who they think from photos - I know I wouldn't.

Dunno most of the people I've dated because I've actually liked them haven't necessarily been typically good looking but have had a personality which has got me interested.

I can point out that I'm not that fit and even less active than normal at the moment (sheer laziness), I have a brain but find it oddly hard to find people who don't find that scary. As for motivations and interests alot of the time I'm not entirely sure what they're meant to be!

Naturally all of this is why I don't use internet dating. Added to the fact I hate pretty much every photo I've ever seen of myself.

But you need to see exactly what they look like before you'd date them?

    No blind dates?

You're fitter than the majority of the population. I could start producing pictures if you want to start arguing the point... :p

That annoys and irritates me. Finding someone with a good brain is paramount to me - and I can't be the only one. GSOH and all those other cliches...

Don't worry about what they're supposed to be. You just have them. They are what they are. There are what puts life into people, not the simple act of breathing.

Some people do - you're not the first. But consider - you can become 20 years younger overnight by using a photo that's 20 years old... ;)

    Why do you hate yours?

I can think of two or three photos of me that I actually like, but I've always hated having my photo taken (apparently as a baby I'd roll over to avoid my photo being taken before I was able to crawl/walk away) so I just don't like photos of me.

As for whats more important, don't know really, I'm not the one doing the internet dating, I guess I'd want to see a mix of photos of people with friends and alone so you know what they look like properly and that they really do have friends.

Oh I won't argue I do not need to see images of fat people at 0115! Agree I prefer to date someone who has a brain and can do something other than go to the gym and get spray tans.

I know I have interests I just seem to have lost track of them recently.

That sort of implies you don't like the attention that's required during the taking of the photo rather than the photo itself. Unless you were really precocious at 9 months and knew what a photo was and had developed self-awareness early.

Work was somewhat 'meh' again but a bright spot was seeing the two Lancaster Bombers flying over our car park heading north after their planned fly by of a landmark in town, amazing sight and sound, pity my colleague just thought they were noisy and probably dangerous as they're so old!

Did he not think that their feature of dropping high-explosive bombs out of the bottom may also make them dangerous under some circumstances..?

And it's not as though they're as noisy as a The Who gig...

She....if it'd been my male staff member he'd have wanted one to land so he could explore its engines as he's training to be a mechanic.

Personally I'd have been rather happy if they had been busy dropping explosives out of the bottom, the town would only be improved by it!

And in the money news the credit card and balance transfer have gone though, I've updated whatsthecost and I should now pay it all off in 67 months while I only pay the minimum payments.

But it ought to be slighly quicker as the MBNA rate for life I've listed at the 'regular' APR not the r4l rate - will amend that when I pay off the remaining £350 of balance not on that rate.

As far as swagbucks goes am feeling a little happier with them today as they've finally released SBTV mobile app for android to the UK, so have downloaded it on my Kindle, can only get a max of 36 points from it but that's 36 towards the daily targets I don't have to find elsewhere and as it runs automatically I don't have to remember to click on to the next video every time nor enter the capchas.
