It's replacing the intranet, still not worked out how to access the unit email via it yet. So yup its a pet project which morphed. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Played with some numbers this evening and then decided to pay another £1k off one of my credit cards. This brings the total debt to a little under £4.5k - I really hate admitting it'd worked its way up to that again but unemployment was definitely not good for debt busting.
The balance transfer on the MBNA card has reached the end of it 0% period so I need to either have another BT offer on the barclaycard or start looking for another deal. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Admitting is good. You can't deal with a problem if you refuse to admit it's there.scubaangel wrote: »but unemployment was definitely not good for debt busting.
No - it never is.scubaangel wrote: »The balance transfer on the MBNA card has reached the end of it 0% period so I need to either have another BT offer on the barclaycard or start looking for another deal.
Do it ASAP. No sense on paying interest and making a bank richer."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I always planned to but it I couldn't find the paperwork telling me when my BT deal on that card expired - must be in one of the boxes still in my Mum's garage - looks like it was this month it ran out so I don't mind paying one months interest. New card applied for, although the application process was only offering me a max balance transfer of £950, so have put in the details for that and will aim to make extra payments to the MBNA card over the next couple of months to cover the £350 I originally transferred on to it which can't be transferred off assuming I get the card I've applied for. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Are there any others due like that do you know? It may be worthwhile giving them a ring and asking.

Others like that?
Work was ok, working with the supervisor who I both get on with and can trust to just get on with things - while I was busy serving she sorted out the orders and wrote down the data I needed to submit to the area manager for me. As as result we left bang on time and the only thing I need to do in the morning is clean the soup kettle as it was left to soak, and spilt the rolls and ciabattas to chuck bacon and sausages on them for breakfast. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

No it was the only one. The rest of the balance on that one is the rate for life, and the other card is all interest paying hence the now paying it off with the money I'd kept saved while I wasn't working. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Dress for the Mess Do has arrived - despite buying a relatively 'normal' colour none of the shoes I have with a high enough heel match it, nor do I apparently have a normal coloured clutch bag, so hoping I can find a pair of shoes and a bag in similar colours at the Trafford Centre on my day off this week (I could try my local town but there are a couple of things I want to pick up from John Lewis as they're cheapest at the moment and the nearest one is at the Trafford Centre). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
