Today wasn't too bad, one of the managers from another store came over in the afternoon to make sure I was ok with the close down and banking.
Banking = a nightmare, it seems at least one of my staff can't count.....
The rest not too bad, I think I'll be ok with it on my own next week.
The stuff I didn't like on Monday. Still don't like it but feeling slightly less overwhelmed - decided to concentrate on learning to prep one area of the core menu at a time, so tomorrow I start on the breakfast foods (or rather most of them since I forgot to order eggs).
Aside from the eggs I may have made a mistake or two on the ordering, who knew a site selling lots of baguettes and paninis might need to order more of themWent to add them to the orders but got back to the office minutes after the order deadline so they're already on the system ready for the next order.

It's either feast or famine. Or have you decided you're now a married mother with 6 kids?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Lord no, I don't think even in my worst nightmares I could envisage that kind of hell!

Which hell? The married or the mother? :rotfl:scubaangel wrote: »Two mystery shops done today just home to start writing them up.

I think it's the next hell down which deals with both marriage and motherhood at the same time.
Mystery shops written up.
A handful more surveys done, none particularly close to payout sadly. Daily targets hit on swagbucks and a decent chunk of points earned on insta.
Overall not a bad day earnings wise, didn't go for a run but walked at least 3 miles this afternoon while I was out doing the shops so will forgive myself for my laziness this time. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Are the shifts stable with this job?
I seem to remember that your last job darn sarf consisted of random working patterns based on nothing other than how inconvenient they were."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Relatively. Other than days when there are fairly major issues like the tills being wrong and having to investigate on the spot my hours during the week are 9-5 with slightly shorter hours at weekends, but there's no set pattern to the shifts although I believe that generally I'll do a Sunday as my supervisor can't get child care most sundays (and frankly I'd feel awful asking her to work all weekend and not spend at least one day with the kid).
I've been late home 4 times in the last couple of weeks already but most of it has been simply down to my taking longer than it needs to take to get the paperwork sorted out, but that's something which should improve with familiarity. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Todays day off is going to involve three mystery shops in two different towns, just hoping that the rain lets up somewhat so I'm not doing my best drowned rat look throughout. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
