Just looked at the front door and realised we've had the post delivered. A leaflet telling me I can register for Sport Relief, am tempted to register for the 3 mile run I usually do and possibly the swim depending on the timings.

There was also a bag offering a free full sized box of Kelloggs All Bran Red Berry Crunch. I did a quick search which turned up a few mentions of a similar offer on another variety so will stick the bag back out tonight. If we get the freebie then good if not nothing lost.

Soup in the slow cooker, went to mums but she was out so let myself in to their garden and picked some apples. Found some slightly old vegetable stock cubes and a packet of curry powder so chucked the lot in to see what happens.

Of course after doing that I didn't much fancy cooking tea so have put chips in the oven and will microwave some baked beans shortly.

I've signed up for the sport relief events I fancied, so will be swimming 1.5km on the Friday night, and then running 3 miles on the Sunday. The site of the run is a country park about 3 miles from home so might drive over there during the week and try to work out the route they'll use instead of running the local reservoir.

Free box of cereal was on the door step when I ventured outdoors this morning.

Other than that I've spent most of the morning fighting my laptop's desire to not connect to the internet - as you may have guessed I won eventually!

Email a few minutes ago giving me the good news that subject to references I have a job offer for the casual work - at the interview they said they'd be starting people today so didn't expect to hear anything from them now.

So that means once my references go back I should get a start date fairly quickly and I can start working out my budget for over payments to the credit cards

Thanks lm, it's only a casual job but from what was said at the interview likely to last up to the New Year if I need it to. But ideally I'll have a better perm job by then. Either way it's money coming in, and thats the priority at the moment.

Order picking/packing at a distribution centre belonging to one of the supermarkets - as best I can tell its the stuff ordered from the websites so household goods, cds, dvds etc.

Just want them to say my references are back so I can set a start date now!
