I'm not great at plans, I have them, then ignore them. I'm much more of a fly by the seat of my pants type of girl. Or just plain panic, thats good for me too.

I meant to join it but forgot to find the thread.
I do have a few personal aims each day - things like hitting the swagbucks target for the bonuses, and completeing at least three surveys elsewhere, and applying for at least 3 jobs.

Job news would be good, I hope if the casual job want me I hear tomorrow as that'll mean I've a monday morning start.

In the mean time I've a mystery shop booked for monday - if I'm starting work then I can do it on the way home from the morning shift or on the way too the afternoon shift.

How do you find mystery shopping?? I was interested but you have to declare it to the taxman which I imagine would mean they might class it as a second job and take 40% off you.
    :undecided

We will need to drag you into the thread for November.

It counts as self employed so it is taxed, the rate depends on the tax band from the total of your employed and self employed work. I've never earned enough to tip me out of the lower rate tax bands.

You mean I'm meant to earn a living?

Most recently I worked for the retail side of a company providing services to military camps, prior to that I managed a dive centre in my home town.

Now I'm back home I want to try to avoid working in retail again as it drove me mad, but if I need to I will until something else comes along. But ideally I want to be looking at supervisory roles or trainee management if I do stumble back in to retail.

I have no idea what my tax rate is. I am so financially unaware.
    :embarasse

So, at least you have some sort of plan and you are already a step ahead of me.
    ;)

Righto, I am off to bed. Good night.

Nope I see no plan in there....just alot of confusion and a lack of jobs in my local area!

Today I am officially home alone for the rest of the weekend. My Dad and sister have gone to a wedding - I'm a little upset I wasn't invited to it as it's friends of the family but in all honesty I probably wouldn't have accepted at the time as I was down south and not planning to move back with a job in which I wasn't allowed to take weekends off.

But this means I have free reign over the whole house, meaning I can sit in 'Dads' sitting room and watch TV on his 42" HD screen, I am ridiculously excited about this as I've been watching tv in my room on a 19" CRT linked to a Humax freeview box with no working remote control.

The (TV) world is your oyster!! Have a fun weekend, I always feel the same when my flatmate is away and the Sky box is mine (he pays for the Sky, I wouldn't shell out for something so extravagant!) Watching GBBO on an HD widescreen TV is heavenly!

Currently making a mess in the kitchen - who knew it was possible to fling cheese and onion across a 'farmhouse' size family kitchen while chopping them to make a toastie!

Am actually lucky that it's a detatched house as I've reverted back to my old habits of turning the music up loudly and singing along badly - the former neighbours in my flat hated me for my lack of singing talent and poor taste in music. :D

Went to see my Nana this evening with my mum, popped in to Asda on the way home as I decided I wanted some popcorn to go with the wine this evening.

So 1bag of cinema sweet popcorn 50p and two seeded baguettes 20p later I have tonights munchies and bread to go with the tinned soup I have for lunch tomorrow.

But while putting the wine in the fridge I realised that the parsnips and carrots I bought last week are starting to look a bit manky so am trying to find my favourite curried parsnip and apple soup recipe. Mum said that the little apple tree in their garden has given them alot of fruit this year and the apples are usually small and quite sweet from it so hoping I can use those, and find veg stock and spices in Dad's kitchen. So I can bung it all in the slow cooker tomorrow morning.

Not sure what I'll do with the carrots yet though.

If you knew of my typical baking attempts you wouldn't even suggest it....but my sister has left alot of baking things in Dad's cupboards. You still want to lose some weight right? :p

Woke up an hour ago because there were strange noises on the driveway - no wonder I was confused my Step-Dad was outside using a power washer to wash his van, my car and my Mum's car. My poor little blue car, hasn't been treated to a wash in quite some time but she's all shiny and pretty now. Pity I'm not, as I've woken up with a rash all over my face, the only thing I can think of which might have caused it is the new shampoo and conditioner I've been sent by Glamour to trial. But think am going to swop back to my old cheap ones until the rash clears up.

When I go back upstairs I'll grab one of my usual products and do an ingredient comparison to see if I can see anything unusual in the trial one.
