  • go on Ninjasavingkat, count me in!!! I NEED to sort xmas by oct/nov with this little extra gift on the way come jan!
    xxx

at least the no alcohol will be easy lol!!!!
September shopping budget £325/£146.44 (uh ohhh ) :rotfl:this didn't include 2 new car seats at £50!
    Petrol budget £150/£120:eek:
    18 SFD's (1 down)

School money - £93.73  so much for "free" education!
  • Me too please :money: This sounds like just what I need

My grocery shop until the 24th September (when we get paid and I plan for October) is £220 for a family of 5, plus 4 kitties.

I'm working pretty much every hour I can, I am self employed working at home and can usually get my hands on as much work as I can manage, so instead of going out and spending money, I will be staying in and working :T Every hour I work brings me a tiny step closer to being debt free
  • Right sign me up too. I am (hopefully) moving house next month so spending needs to be reigned in so i can afford my solicitors fees etc.

My food budget is £0 as I live with my parents and it's included in my rent.

The alcohol rule may go out the window on moving day though!

I've had a thorough read through checked bills checked freezers and decided its time to change my way of buying what I fancy whenever anything is a bargain I just have to have it so I now have a houseful of stuff ! I've made a start I cleared one credit card this morning I don't think I'm brave enough to cut it up though but will give it to hubby, we have a £1000 on argos card and £290 on barclays card which I'd love to make a huge dent in by Cutting right back, selling what's not needed and doing as much overtime as poss..

My grocery budget for 3 plus a dog + extended families is £250..

I will add extra walking and cycling to my week thats easy with a cocker spaniel !

I have £50 set aside for my eldests birthday on 13th.
I have a wedding on the 21st hubbys cousin. £100.
Hoping to get out of hen night as overtime going lol
Also have to Still get school shoes for my son Monday.

I am not a drinker anyway so the drinks isn't a problem so I'm going to give up pop.!

Also aiming to lose 7lb this month...

I have my notebook and am ready to go..

    Hi

I crashed and burned in a spectacular fashion in the August challenge but I am gonna have another go.

My food budet is £60 for the month - I bought shopping today to allow me to prepare 22 lunches for next month (I have already made rice and frozen it in containers). I am usually to lazy to go to the canteen which helps!

My kitchen is pretty empty as I couldn't find time to go shopping until today.

I walk to work which is 20 minutes each way but I am also taking up running - I managed to run a 5k in July very very slowly and I haven't been going out much so I am going to try 2-3 time a week.

I am having a wee party next week where I will need a glass of vino collapso but I will make this the only exception to the rule. I am in a play so I am in rehearsals most nights so it should be easy to avoid alcohol and I will try to report in afterward each night.

I still having worked out my dfd - it probably about 7-8 years but I am going to focus on a mini dfd - getting rid of c/c first.

When I am debt free I am going to save for a guilt free shopping spree and then think about a mortgage.

New and Old you are very welcome. 30 days lay ahead of us which will be a struggle for us all in differing ways so in order to make this fun and a little more interesting I have set up a Facebook page! Ninja Saving Kat (with spaces) is now ready for YOU!

The rules are simple... keep it fun! I want you to post pictures of things you come across that amuse you, from the best yellow sticker finds, things you want to buy but can't/shouldn't, I want pictures of things you are saving for, desperate for and items that are your driving force to get debt free... supermarket promotions... deals on things you think another MSE'er might appreciate.. Equally add your gripes, your whinges, things that annoy you, things that you are struggling with, things that get to you..

Facebook is for short sharp updates... something swift to feed anyone's social media addiction (me)...

Pictures of animals are duly encouraged, pictures of children must be limited as this is an open page and we must protect out little people.

So lets see what you got...
....and let the games begin and
may the odds be ever in your favour!!!
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".

    Morning Peeps,

I can't believe its September already!

Budgets are all in place. My misc spends looks very high, but I'm including everything in that. DS1 travel to college (he's got to go in this Tuesday. He's not sure when he starts properly but it will be £30 a week just on his travel), DS2 school dinners which he has 3 times a week and any other spends which I've forgotten to budget for. I also start college on the 18th and need to set some money aside for a book and computer program which I'll need to get.

I'd also like to start some christmas shopping early, but only if I see things at a good price.

Today should be a sfd as we are off to hubby's parents for Sunday lunch and tea.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday! :D

Forgot to mention the exercising ~ I walk DS2 to school which works out at 4 miles a day ~ does that count??!
