Please can I join again? I really need to make up for a bad August.

The exercise should be easy for me as I need to loose my baby weight. No alcohol is no problem as I have no money for it :rotfl:

Off to write out a budget for the month
    TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid off
    Debt Free Goal September 2017
    #106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£1000
  • Hiyas, can I be added to but I do have a hen night and a wedding this month so won't manage the no booze for those night but 28 others easy !

  • :jWelcome to so many newbies. :j

I want you to stay close and post often. Tell us why you are here - what are your current money woes??

Those who need to celebrate marathon achievements, new babies, epic muddy challenges and hend-do's I will accept a few drinks here and there but a positively hard crack down will be expected on all other days...

    .......does that sound fair?? :T

    Ooh another runner! :D

My only problem with the notebook in the handbag is I always feel it is logical to stop in a coffee shop to update it... :o

I always collect receipts and update my geeky spreadsheet every night. I ask for receipts for everything and if there's something that I spend on and can't get a receipt for (vending machine? market stall?), I make a note of it on my phone and update the spreadsheet using that. I'm so geeky, once the spreadsheet's updated, I then check it against how much money is actually in my purse. They always match :D I've been doing it for so long that I don't know if it's awkward or not, but if you try it, it will become second nature.

Oh, and talking of running, permission is granted for a mass kick up the a$$ if I don't start running! I have the app, I have the shoes, I have two days left to find the will!

    Hello!

    Only 2 days to go!

I'm glad there are a couple of runners on here, used to run most days but I've gotten out of the habit.

In answer to ninjasavingkat's question, I think a specific set of goals for a month will really help me with my budgeting and financial goals. In the past year I've managed to knock off 8 years off my DFD, but I want it sooner than March 2019!! I got my first credit the week after I turned 18, and I want to be debt free for the first time in my adult life!
    2019 Aim: Save £10,000
Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now
  • Count me in please.
Have to get rid of £14,000, on credit cards  and lose 1 stone in weight. :j
    Competition Wins
2016: Spa weekend in the peak district,
Night out at Newmarket races with champagne, driven in a stretch Limo.
2015: Silver necklace from a jewellery designer, Canvas of a photo of my choice.
  • Count me in please! I could do with a challenge.
Will try hard on the no alcohol thing, but have two big birthdays to attend so it will not happen then :o

    Will go and update sig......

I know I've already posted but I'm all prepared.

    Budget updated.
Opened a new a/c for spending only
    Written down my savings goals.

What is even better is that my dd starts school on 4th September. This means no more £700 nursery bills - wooooo hoooo. I still have no idea if i'll get any ctc - but my wages will cover the much lower childcare costs.
