  • Thanks Kat - apparently their offer is being considered.... and its darned close to the asking price :( and they are proceedable if thats even a word. I suspect the goose is rather cooked. To cap it all the estate agent also told me that the office we are marketing though is closing. As far as doors being shut its becoming rather comical :) My email from HTB this morning was on "Perfect Peace" - someone has a sense of humour and I am just trusting that we will end up where we are supposed to be.

Anyway since then DS has had sand chucked in his eyes and DD has been stung on the cheek by a wasp - school photos today - depending on the timescales we might have some very "interesting" pics!!

Kat- Thanks :D I'd post a team photo but not sure how to do it- Im too used to Twitter & FB who do it for you as such! Re veggie meals, are you veggie or vegan first as you mention vegan cheese? I'm lifelong veggie. Used to eat a lot of quorn products, LM sausages and Mexican Tes.cos burgers etc. These days I tend to eat lots of a lentils and beans etc. DH is the chef in this house though. I only ever used to buy quorn when it was on offer. On that though I do believe that quorn is coming "off licence" next year therefore the rest of the market can make it, therefore competition and driving down the prices.

Another SFD to report here so 6/18. On nights. Another client booked for Weds and two scheduled for end of the month in 2nd job which could bring me in another £100.

    £7 more into sealed pot.

Listed two items on eB.ay which hopefully should bring in £160, less fees. Money generating focus!

I might as well declare for the day, another SFD and i'm going to do one of those you tube workouts so will be an exercise day too yay!
  • AnnieBox - what are you particularily learning about..? Adjustments will have to be made as you end up scutinising everything.... it's good though..

Mainly I'm just not used to having a budget, so I don't really know what is and isn't 'do-able' :( Before joining these lovely forums I would just freely use all the money left over after my direct debits went out at the start of the month. I'd spend the money on whatever and and apparently I spent a lot more on food then I realised  I never made it to pay day with more than £10 in the bank before now.

I'm determined to try harder though, I've got a lot riding on the success of things like this challenge so I'm determined to do my best! And hey, recognising the problem is the first step to getting better, right :rotfl:

May as well check in while I'm here too:

    SFD's: 5

*walked on lunch break for exercise
    *Still no energy drinks

    Budget so far:

    Food: £13/£20
    Petrol: £20/£40
    Other: £20/£100
Paid off my debts, saved up my cash and now I'm finally buying my own home!

    Hmmmm....

Was working for a gym chain earlier today, generating leads and handing out flyers. At the end of my shift the client said I'd done a really good job, that people were walking in with the flyers, asking about the facilities etc.

Just had a phone call with my new boss who said I didn't generate enough leads and I might be let go. I tried explaining what the client said to me, and she said she'd get back to me.

Feeling very confused and a bit carp :(

    good evening everyone!
Gosh! So much to catch up on!

fyggy - well done! :A I need to pop back on the facebook page and look at everyones piccies!!!!

ladymay - your boss sounds mean  - would you like me to go round there for you? :D - hope it all works out ok?

AnnieBox - I find it very hard to manage my spends and am toooo lazy to remember everything I've spent usually but thankfully - this month I've spent so little (relatively) - i can remember where every penny has gone so far! Thank you NSK!! :T
My recommendations - if you are having trouble budgeting because of spending don't give yourself an option - leave your wallet at home - i've done it every day this week so far and lets face it - there is very little in a normal day where you NEED money NOW!! Once you get yourself into the no-spend mentality it might be easier to budget in a wider sense and think about 'i spend this here, this here etc'?

andrar - congrats on the flat!

LAGL - so sorry about the dream home - but remember like men there are plenty of houses out there!! Maybe this one wasn't the dream and that is actually just round the corner! :)

OK - expected it to be a SFD but as mentioned yesterday OH is ill so spent on 'nursing' supplies

lucozade - check (1/2 price)! milk - check! medicine - check!

    Total spend 10 quid.

    so food -59.82/100
    sfd - 6/18
    exercise - done

OH so rough may not be able to go Cornwall this weekend :( so may need to try and reclaim the train tickets (in my dreams!!!!) so fingers crossed!

everyone have a good evening - shoulder hurts from hunching over PC so off for warm shower!!!!

    xx

just wanted to say - loving the Facebook community - i'll watch but not communicate if that's ok? paranoid much!!!! Maybe next month make a new profile!!!!!!!

Thanks cottage. I was just a bit shocked, being told you haven't done a good job is never nice. Annoying thing is I had to cancel the second interview for the other company yesterday because I wasn't feeling well (dodgy tum, definitely couldn't go!). I'll call them tomorrow to re-schedule. I can survive the next couple of months if I use my overdraft, but I obviously want to try and avoid that!

Anyway, quick update on my goals from yesterday, had a SFD today :o

    Food £49.88/£100
    Transport £106/£100
    Misc £65.40/£200
    Beauty £5.64/£10
    Food bank £0/£3
    NSD 4/18

    Hope everyone's having a lovely evening :)

  • Hi Kat

Yup it's so hard when it is my turn, there where 3 of us one paid for his own otherwise it would have been £10.20, but I went with him today after work again and he paid for my latte, red bull and pizza so it evens it out :money::p

    Spent £1.00 today

Going to pub tomorrow for drinks during work time and so I have to go as it is in work time, hopefully we won't have to buy rounds and I'm skint i will leave and half 4 when it finishes won't hang around
