I'm sure that logically there isn't anything wrong with it but imo it's a bit eugh. Why advertise the fact your clothes aren't clean on??
Does that mean my policy of buying 2 or 3 identical outfits for work to make life simple means everyone thinks I'm wearing exactly the same things 3 days a row (and of course I might be..):rotfl:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Ive worn skirts to work more than one day in a row with no problem, the thing is, some people could be going home, washing the outfit and shoving it back on, wearing the same thing two days in a row doesnt mean its not clean on.

Oh absolutely, but if it's the same outfit it's probably more likely to not have been washed than rushed through the laundry for the next day I'd have thought.

Surely I cant be the only person to admit that ive given my clothes a bit of a shake...maybe a run over with the iron and a squirt of frebreeze..and away we go...

And as further confession...ive treated my kids clothes with the same contempt too!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I'm the opposite....I have ONE pair of work trousers (as well as some dresses and skirts and so on) - being a ridiculously short person even petite trousers have to be taken up and it is such a pain that when I have trousers the right length I just wear them until they basically fall apart. I work part time so often these trousers are only worn 4 hours at a time, or they are washed between wears as I have time to do that in the week - but I always hope that because a generic pair of black trousers is a generic pair of black trousers, people (if they thought about it at all) would assume I have a few pairs of black trousers and wouldn't realise I am always wearing the same pair! Am I kidding myself...?!

And even T shirts, its very rare I have identical T shirts,

I don't think the point was that you wouldn't be able to tell which was which (because they were identical), just that you might not remember...

I, for instance, have a good 50 geeky tee shirts, that I wear most days in rotation...How do I remember which ones are fresh washed, which have been worn once, twice etc.

The answer, of course, is that I don't bother worrying about it. Whenever I put any clothes on, I always give them a sniff to make sure they're clean..as often as not it's something "fresh" I find that wasn't completely dry when folded and now smells a little stale that I chuck straight into the wash again...If it smells good, I wear it...simples :)

No, you arent, because I posted earlier that I only have a few identical fitness type T shirts, the same doesnt extend to my workout trousers.

Ive got around 20 of one brand, they cost me 19 quid, fairtrade, wash well, have lasted around 4 years and about 2000 plus exercise classes later, at times my participants must have looked at me and thought, does she have any more of those trousers.

A few pairs have been binned off for rag at the charity shop because they are falling to bits, so last night I ended up wearing a pair of bright purple cargos that were brand new, because most of my black stuff is on its last legs now

When I used to work in offices or in supported accommodation not once did I ever look at a colleague and say, youve got the same kit on as you did yesterday, wouldnt even have noticed tbh

I struggle to find jeans, so when I get some I like I tend to buy a few pairs the same...And I *am* aware that people at work must think I wear the same pair *all the time*, because when one pair's in the wash, I'm wearing another identical pair...but that's life... :)

Im one of these people who has a lot of clothes but who tends to wear a very small proportion of it, partly because my weight has gone up and down over the years, Ive actually got rid of a lot of stuff, freecycle, ragged loads of stuff for the charity shop, but I agree with you

I can tell the difference between clean and not and even if I did pick up a T shirt and think, have I worn that once or twice or three times, Id be able to tell if it were fresh enough to wear

And I wouldnt worry about it either, but thats the joy of being self employed and spending most of my life in casual clothes anyway, I dont need to go to work and sit for 8 hours in the same clothes, so I can do what I like within reason
