So found the answer to my own question on here...

I phoned Bank of Scotland today and eventually spoke with the lloyds banking group CPP team. They advised that in relation to the premiums paid prior to 14 January 2005 that Lloyd's Banking Group have taken the decision to repay premiums. So fingers crossed for a 2nd cheque from them soon!

I had card protection only from August 2000 to August 2009. CPP have already paid me £74.
  • HI
I am new to the forum and having problems with CPP trying to get my claim looked at. CPP agreed i had a claim but it was an Arcadia Store card so they cannot assist i have to contact Arcadia. many wasted calls to Arcadia and they advise that i contact Santander bank who are processing these claims
i had several store cards and do not have records of them all. so very frustrating as CPPhave agreed i have a card but cannot tell me what store card company it is with.they sent a leaflet if i am not satisfied to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Martin,
We followed your advice and I have received my cheque.
However Hubby's claim was sent at the same time and no reply so far.
Do you have any idea how we can check on the progress of the claim?:money:

Martin doesn't reply to forum posts (and, incidentally, sold this website some time back).

There is no point attempting to "check on progress" of the other complaint unless you have not even received an acknowledgement of receipt.

If you have not so far received such an acknowledgement, then you should ring them and ask.

They won't be able to give you any other information about the likelihood of success etc.

No point sending them anything prior to 2005, but if the payments in question are definitely CPP than you should forward copies of these statements to them and demand a recalculation.

Might be an idea to double-check what the payments definitely pertain to first.

On the credit card statements it says "Halifax Card Protection" so certainly is for card protection......what do you think??
