  • Thank you MSE, my cheque arrived at the weekend. Thanks to your team I made a successful claim and am £75 better off this month. Cheers!!:money::j
  • I am really happy to have received a cheque for £200 today, it was easy and much more than I was expecting as I cancelled my policy years ago. Thanks for the advice!
  • Hi
    Just want to say thanks.
I have just received an offer of £8000 from Natwest for my mis-sold PPI on two credit cards. Premiums between 2001-2005 were £3k - interest is £5k.
So brilliant as have massive credit card debt and this is going to reduce how long it will take me to pay it off by two years.
    Thanks again.
  • Got a check for £278.11 today. I can't really work out how this is correct though because I have had CPP since 2004 paying £39.99 each year.

But I'm happy with what I got because wasn't expecting anything until this scheme came about.

My mum also received a cheque today. We both sent our forms off about 7-8 weeks ago and our surname starts with R.

Got a cheque for £116.02 from CPP claim today and I'm really grateful for it. However, they deducted 20% tax on the interest but since 2012 I've not be liable for tax, should I just accept it or ring them and see if I can get the extra cash back? I feel like I'm being a bit petty but if I don't pay tax, should I be expected to pay 20% on the interest they've paid me?

Tax paid can only be refunded by HMRC. If you are not a taxpayer then you should apply for a refund, but the Bank can do nothing.
  • Received a cheque for £79.67 today really pleased with that thanks again to MSE and everyone else for posting their updates it really does help have a great day everyone :j
  • I had a cheque last week for £616, I had card protection and identity theft for a while until I realised I was wasting money. I had no idea I this amount was on its way!
