  • In regards to whisker baskets, there is a link on Pinterest on how to make them from newspaper, I haven't properly read the instructions yet so not sure what else is needed. I don't know how to do links on my ipad unfortunately, but its worth taking a look at the site.

Im planning on a hair and make up hamper for my honorary niece (best friends dd) who will be almost 10 at xmas

And an arts and crafts one for my own dd. who will be 6 in February

  • Not sure if anyone is doing a craft type hamper for anyone, but home bargains have the small packs if clear stamps for 29p - mine had about six different varieties in they might also be good if you want to personalise some plain paper without spending a fortune
2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy

Carlamarie- I found a tin in HB last week for £2.49 that has pics on of make-up brushes, lipsticks, eyeshadows etc. I intend filling it for my 10yo. I started yesterday when I successfully bought some eye shadow applicators using the Boots No 7 voucher despite cashier initially insisting it wouldn't go through. I jsut stood there waiting for her to make a decision about it and I think she rang it through in end in order to get rid of me -lol.;)

thinking of doing a nail art hamper for dd
    manicure kit
    nail polishes
    nail wraps
    maybe a model finger?
    any other ideas appreciated

You could add nail buffers, nail files, nail polish remover and cotton wool. Also for nail art my friend uses fine paintbrushes instead of the brushes that come with nail varnish to get more detail. Small gems and nail glue as well maybe?

Hope that's of some help :)

Biscuit tin size I'd say (the sort you get at xmas like foxes assortd etc). Just roughly measured around 21 x 22 cms and around 7 cm deep.

I've decided to do some treasure chest hampers for the kids, hobbycraft have them for £3 something at the moment, and i'm going to get some multipacks of sweets/chocolate/gold coins etc to use as treasure and maybe some party type pirate hats/patches and things.

It should work out to more sweets for less money than buying selection boxes I think, and be lots more fun for them :D

mumto2boys-I'm sure I've seen packs of 4 or 5 small bars of choc that are as though they are a bar of gold or pics of pirates on in Sainsbury's for around £1. I remember buying some within last few months.
