  • I want to make a movie/date night hamper. I'm going to buy a DVD & some popcorn. Not sure what else I can put in it (I'm totally not creative lol).

If anyone has any ideas, it would be appreciated :)

Crisps & dips. Fleece blanket. Drink-soft or booze.
Hubby suggests stills of the film if it's one of their faves. (he's nosing over my shoulder!)
Soundtrack or book to the film?

what about doritoes and dip, pringles, pop, bags of sweets, you can buy paper pop corn boxes or plastic ones from ebay (like what you get it in at the cinema), 3d glasses, cinema ticket, popping corn, hth x
One day I will live in a cabin in the woods
  • If you fancy making your own popcorn holders have a look at this-

Good ideas but I've got board games and DVDs covered already! (we have traditions of these already in the family at Christmas, can't bit a bit of cheesy Arnie in Jingle All The Way every Christmas!)

I did a bit of shopping today, so far got:

Other half: (he's also a veggie trying to be vegan so buying is hard)
    - Expensive green tea in a nice decorative tin (super reduced at TK Maxx)
    - Christmas socks
    - Nice big fluffy Christmas themed dressing gown
    - Small packet of savoury gourmet popcorn

Thinking to get some organic snacky type stuff from our local organic/vegan shop. He's also he's really into Break*ng Bad right now so going to buy a white mug & draw Heisenb*rg's face with a Xmas hat on. Other that I'm stuck what else to get.

    Brother:
    - Christmas themed Pjs
    - Christmas socks
    - Lots of Christmas chocs
    - Candy canes
    - Gourmet savoury popcorn

Still to get - Winter ale/beer, Christmas mug (seen a great one but it's sold out!), a can of magic snow.

how about a graze box full of veggie and vegan snakcs for you partner the first box you buy is usually free and you can choose what snacks you put in.
  • i was checking out the cellophane bags under christmas baking at poundland online. Can someone pls tell me if the bags come with the ribbon as in the pics?By the way, i saw the moustache items, ice tray and stress reliever for the moustache hamper a couple pages back. Also, for anyone doing baking as a gift, they have biscuit tins that can be used for cakes as well. Great selection of baking items for a baking hamper, i thought... :-)

Mine were bought last year, but yes, they did come with the ribbon.

Thanks, Ruth_honey , I'm off to purchase today then. :j
I have a dilemma, non-hamper related, I am buying the advent calendars from Poundland (as that is the cheapest I have found in my area and I have 6 or so to buy) but they don't come with the Christmas story??, I think. I want the kids to get into the mood for christmas and remember the reason for Christmas. I thought of a print out which we could follow, you know, read the line, reflect on it, have the day's chocolate....oooh, I don't know. Any ideas, please? I can't afford to buy another type unless its also £1 a piece.

I got the eye gel mask for my mum's hamper. She recently said something that made me think she might appreciate it if gifted to her so when I saw it at Poundland, I snapped it up....hope its more hardy than I'm expecting (finger crossed)
