Bearing in mind she will probably already have the usual holiday essentials? I think this may be a difficult one and will probably stick to a "normal" hamper for her if I can't think of any Oz related ideas - thank you for any responses xx
How about some cricket-themed items? One of those white floppy hats, some Factor 50 sun screen, a pop-up beer or wine glass (as seen on Amazon), a light-coloured funky t-shirt as a cover up, a foam finger (might a bit big for her suitcase!), a book on her favourite cricketer or team or the rules (if she needs help understanding them), a national flag for whichever side she's supporting.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

man box - sweets.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

i'm making my parents a hamper this year. and instead of buying a box or basket, i'm planning on using a fruit box from the supermarket. after all they only get crushed. and with some nice wrapping paper round it and some tissue paper inside it will look the part.SPC 0370

Hiya,
I made a fancy Italian/Greek food hamper for my friend the other year with stuff from Aldi. I used a foil turkey tray from the £ shop to put it in & it looked great. I gave it to her a few days before Xmas & she loved it. They haden't got a tin to cook the turkey in so used the one I gave them & the hamper provided the stuff for their starters on xmas day:j:j
Going to do the same this year, could not find any crape paper to put in it but spotted a fancy paper table cloth so going to use that this time, knowing my friend that will be on the kids table on xmas day - win all round:D0 -
Great ideas everyone
I love making hampers up.
I did my daughter 2 for her 21st - put in
2 x DVDs
6 x Yankee candle samplers and holder ( plain glass one from asda )
slippers
hot chocolate
chocs
face masks
bottle of wine
The other was a car emergency kit- tow rope, plastic petrol can, foot pump, triangle, jump leads, de icer & scraper, torch
I always make 2 hampers for friends each christmas, start in November looking for foodie bits on offer and then I put them in some thing special
I have used in the past - log baskets and wicker laundry baskets, this year Im using lined wicker truggs ( get these from Cromford at "Home Products" )
I have also used the hessian "bag for life" from seasalt ( they were on offer last year at 2 for £6 )they went down really well. Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -

That's what I did three years agoI used wrapping paper that was something like 10p a roll...then bought some green tissue paper, and shredded it to line. It looked great, if I may say so myself
I'm planning on doing hampers again this year, I think I still have the boxes...if not I'll do the same again. I bought cellophane from Lidl that is clear with little reddish stars on - it'll go perfectly with the red with white stars wrapping paper.
This was the "chocolate" one.0
