This is a lovely thread! The creativity and ideas being shared are inspirational
I've nearly completed my Mum's birthday "tea time" hamper and I have a wicker basket to put everything in.
Question: where do you get cellophane from please? On ebay it's going for about £5 for 20mx80cm clear - is that a good price? (sorry if this info is already elsewhere on the thread, I did a search but couldn't find anything).£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Lidl do cellophane a bit closer to Christmas. I can't remember how much it costs or how much is on a roll, but I'm sure someone else will be along soon to let you know.
Sometimes I've used that scrunchie foil wrapping paper. Card factory, Home Bargains and Poundland sell it.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Our local flower shop will sell cellophane by the metre. For one-offs it's cheap enough and very convenient. I'm not sure how it would work out for multiple baskets.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I'm struggling to find gifts for my friends 4 children ( age 9, 11, 17 & 19) and my 3 Nephews ( age 16, 9, 4), I thought about getting either a biscuit tin and filling it or sweetie jars and filling those, I'm on a really tight budget of a fiver each, we all know that doesnt go far but I'd like it to seem as though I'd put some thought into itBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

Are any of them into arts and crafts? My DD3 loves it when I make her up a hamper with glue, paper, anything shiny, glitter etc
My favourite shops for crafts are either the £1 shops or The Works and The Range. There is so much choice.
Also great places are community scrap stores which not only have a different and wonderful scrap items but they also have amazing craft idea printouts.

We have a 'wholesalers' in Yorkshire called Country Baskets who sell cellophane and although you have to have a membership card, it is easy to get hold of. They hold at least 50 designs and the Christmas ones are beautiful.
If you Google your local floristry suppliers, a quick phonecall will see what you need for membership

For your younger nephews, if they are anything like mine, they will be into superheroes. Go with their superhero of choice and think of creative gifts along those lines e.g. For my 9yr old nephew b'day, for one of his gifts, i got him a drawing pad and covered it with green paper because he's into the hulk/teenage mutant ninja turtles and loves to draw.
Here goes Girls 9,11,19
Boys 16,16,9,4
I have just been through my christmas store and i've found 7 gifts that hadnt been allocated to hampers for grown ups, so I have just managed to knock £35 off my xmas list, each of the pressies only cost about £2 in last years sale so I guess i've saved £56 in total, maybe, I think, or i may have worked that out wrongBarclay card £4,024/£0 0%interest

Is the 9yo boy into Minecraft? This annual is slightly over your budget but I found it in Sainsburys for £4 just over a week ago. If you want it, snap it up though. Minecraft stuff goes quickly and then sells on ebay for extortionate prices.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Minecraft-Official-Annual-2014-Annuals/dp/1405267674
Or at Home Bargains they had different annual like The Annoying Orange for £2.99.
The 9 and 11 year old girls I'd find the easiest. What are they into, 'pink and sparkly'? 'One direction'? It was no longer on at my local Claire's but recently they have been doing buy 5 items for £5 off selected gondalas. My dd was buying really decent bits, 1D watch and a make up kit that had been £13 originally! Worth looking to see if it's still on at yours.
19yo girl you might be able to do a scaled down version of the 'girls night out' hamper mentioned on here. What cheaper shops can you get to? Eg B&M, Home Bargains, poundland.
16yo boys eek  Boys especially can become harder as they become older to buy for. We resorted to giving money for last few years for DH's godson and am thankful as he turned 18 earlier this year we no longer need to get anything. One of the few things I do remember buying him was something Pot Noodle relatedA ceramic pot or twisting fork, but they can be dear as boxed sets. Haven't see any so far this year. What are their hobbies/lifestyles, you might be able to get something connected to that.
4yo boys I'll leave the suggestions to someone else. Not cos they are difficult to buy for but cos it's a long time since I bought for a male of this age so I don't really remember what they are into.0 -

How about a Red hat similar to the one Bobby wears throughout the film and iced buns like the ones they give Mr Perks for his birthday?
You could also add some labels like the ones they forget to put on his presents, saying nice things about her?
What about a hankie to wave at the trains? (i've got a feeling one of the girls in the film had one but not certain)
Thank you for all your fab suggestions - we have decided on a hanky but with a special twist
My darling Dad died of cancer 3 1/2 years ago and my step Mum still has a brand new hanky with my Dad's initial on. It will mean SO much to my DD3 :j"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0
