I'm in very gently. Thank you Valli x
I have wiped the kitchen windowsill over and cleaned the microwave. All whilst waiting for my lunch to cook.
We are also washing clothes as smelly son (DS2 18) home from Reading:eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
ETA maybe we can start a personal challenge? Just read the end of last weeks thread, well done Valli for going solo, and confidence vibes to deco for same. Hmm. What shall I do? MIL has said I should arrange something for Tuesday nights as she usually stays over after swimming and she'd be happy for me to go out in the evening - I had thought maybe starting yoga again...
I like that idea too? It is a good time to start new things with the start of the new school year so adult ed classes will be re-starting:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Afternoon all
French rain makes you wetter than British rain, I can vouch for it, wet through to my undies. Recovering with une tasse de the et une tarte citron.
Wet stuff draped everywhere. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dogs have been walked, Shepherd Spy has been constructed, and that's about it today; my head feels like it's going to explode any second.
Actually Mr LW took a time out from playing "Darkwatch" and did most of the S/Spy construction,:A with instructions from me, because I honestly thought I might pass out if I stood at the hob.
FFP I don't really mind the dog hair that much; the dog-sitting is what keeps me sane (and gives me a purpose in life,) and to me it's a small price to pay for the pleasure the dogs bring. Of course, there's only me and Mr LW, I don't have children to keep clean/fed/organised.:o Also, not all my guests moult - the current two don't, though they do need brushing every day; Sassy the Labradoodle didn't moult either. Bailey & Cassie moult not just for Britain but for the entire European Community,:D but I absolutely love 'em to pieces.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Mrs Dog finished her second lot of painkillers yesterday morning, and so far she seems to have been absolutely fine; pain-free, happy and perky. I also think that the runs she had on the beach on Saturday, the experience of being first time off-lead with me, and the fact that OH accompanied us, have put a real spring in her step. *crosses fingers*
I have painted the rest of the cupboard under the front steps white. It was tanked two years ago and some of the bricks are obviously still drying out under the tanking. As they've been sodden since 1860 they're never going to, so I thought s*d it today, and I'm slapping some water-based paint over the rest of it. It'll need three coats, which I'll take three days to do I think, but it looks better already.
I'm also sorting out the scullery area and shoving the stockpile of cleaning materials outside the in OH's 'shed.' It means I can finally sort that area out - it's been a mess for 20 years. :eek:Better is good enough.0 -
Some of my ironing pile done not enough though
I'll do some more tomorrow. Paired some socks too. Have I ever mentioned I hate ironing?
Going to sort the dinner. It will be mince and tatties with veg of some sort and description! Cause that's how I roll!Dogs have been walked, Shepherd Spy has been constructed, and that's about it today; my head feels like it's going to explode any second.

My dog doesn't molt either he's a bearded collie he gets a brush everyday but apart from the odd stray hair he's brilliant. I know exactly what you mean about the pleasure and company that dogs bring. I love Mr Mac more than I like [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE]

Fizz... go sit down and chill.. you are winding yourself up into a frenzy and nothing good will come of it.. you will make silly errors and get stressed and forget important things... get a coffee/tea and relax.. then give OH a list of tasks and a deadline and make a slow gentle start on the rest of the stuff.
Thank you pigpen, I kinda sorta took your advice, I DID sit down with coffee but used the time to finalise seating plan for the meal and write the place name thingamabobs. It made me slow down and tick one job off the list so it was all good.
Cake collected but has had some trauma on the way home, the tom has broken off the bass drum and dented the icing. Going to email my cake maker now and see if those parts are edible. If not, I'm superglueing them back into position. In fact, even if they are edible I'll probably do that, then give those bits to my dad's OH :rotfl: She's a bit of a witch.
Having a cider and a ciggie, then dinner, then sorting and ironing today's laundry. Then we'll see!
Sorry for being a stressball!0 -
Well I'm still at loggerheads with my BR - the bed's being delivered tomorrow so it'll be put up at some point either tomorrow or Wednesday evening. I've now resorted to putting some stuff in bin bags to sort out later. Our new bed is one of those where you lift the whole bed up and there's storage inside so I'm not sure what will fit in or how it'll work until it's up.
Oh well DH has just fetched KFC for tea so I'll eat that and then do some more.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

I'm in this week, thanks valli for the lists.
Spent all day sorting the back garden, all hedges barr the back one cut, garden strimmed, ivy pulled out, nettles pulled by hand out of the fruit garden, all big bushes clipped back. Still need to do the very back garden.OH has set the fire up and made lunch, he's now sleeping.. He has decided he now needs a pig house as his own sort of room, so he spent today on his computer looking up gumtree for a old sofa. Of course he seems to forget he has bills this week as well as Scotland on Saturday. But sure i'm to pay for all while he buys guitars and amps and crap for himself. I'll just pay for everything else that lets us live..... Only DS1 is going on Saturday and I know he'll love it, i'd tell OH to get stuffed. Opps turned into a bit of a rant.
I've had a bath and i'm refusing to do anything else today. Roll on horseriding tomorrow till I get a few hours away with the kids.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
