goodintentions, I am feeling your grumpy pain. OH has been on holiday for the past week and bar painting the girls room which took two mornings he has done NOTHING. I am so stressed about getting everything ready for Wednesday morning, running around and all he seems to do is watch ESPN and tell me to sit down and calm down -- not constructive when I have so much to do! We've only ever had one argument in the four years we've been together, we just don't fight, but I am going to blow my flippin' stack in a minute. Just what we need when we get married on Friday. I could cry.

Everywhere vacuumed again, kitchen S&Sed again, kitchen floor mopped, boys room tidied, girls still in bed playing on the Wii. I may unleash my wrath on them instead! Their room is messier than ever

Time to dust LR and our bedroom, leaving to collect cake at 2 and it's a two hour round trip plus chat and coffee when I get there. MUST REMEMBER CHEQUE BOOK!!!

Fizz... go sit down and chill.. you are winding yourself up into a frenzy and nothing good will come of it.. you will make silly errors and get stressed and forget important things... get a coffee/tea and relax.. then give OH a list of tasks and a deadline and make a slow gentle start on the rest of the stuff.

Lamewolf, I'm a slipper nazi and insist that everyone deshoes and gets slippered up when they enter the house. You're still welcome for a :coffee: anytime though :D
My feet really really don't like being in footwear of any sort. I often go barefoot even when we go out, as long as it's warm enough (being in a wheelchair when out, I can get away with it). I don't care if people give me funny looks, it beats the pain of wearing footwear any day!:o I don't even own any tights or stockings!:D
My pal phoned last night to let me know she will be home tomorrow. She's been working away and I've had her dog. I love him to bits but as much as I love labs I'm never having one. I'm sick of brushing him and the house is full of gold hair that sticks to everything. I've not even bothered to put the Hoover past while he's been here as I'm using it so often!
I sympathise - Labs can moult for Britain! I have my two Hairy Hooligans coming on Sept 23rd for 9 days, so Mr Dys0n will be doing overtime.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I have managed to conquer the fear of going to the cinema alone - I was desperate to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy when it came out. Obviously I'd rather go with a friend, but needs must. I have since been several times and really quite enjoyed it - nobody moans when I inevitably need to go to the loo!

I really must make the effort to go swimming more often. We have a nice new pool, I just need some get up and go to get on my bike and get there!

Hugs FizzWhizz, pigpens advice is good.

I think we may need a grumpy corner today. Have just had the full onslaught of my 14 yos mood flung in my direction. For no apparent reason. Its a shame teenagers dont realise their Mums arent made of stone, sigh. I am trying to let it all wash over me but it has spoilt my bank holiday a bit.

Off to pootle around I think. We did think about going somewhere but we live in a very touristy place and the roads are bedlam. Really need to go to the recycling place, hows that for an exciting trip out!

Hello again. Everything planned done, except cleaning the fridge (may need Valli to put this on a list!) and the broadband frog. I was going to join you all in grumpy corner, but now I've achieved a bit I'm looking forward to relaxing with DH this afternoon and feel a little more content with my lot.

    chin up everyone....

  • Hi all x

LR and scullery done, loaby hoovered, OH washed out the wheelie bin cause it was rank then I got him to wash the woodwork in the LR ( with a different cloth you understand ;) )
I've put the ironing board and tree up, I have a movie to watch and I will get some of this ironing done. Have I ever said I hate ironing? Suppose I should make a start I will make a coffee and take it with me :(

LW best of British to you and dys0n when your visitors arrive. I don't think I will be volunteering again. My neighbours will be thinking I'm mad standing in the middle of the garden in the morning with the two kids attacking them with the clothes brush!

Had a mad dash into a very busy York this morning. Then, after lunch, DD1 and I have paid our annual visit to the local village show. Back home now with a cup of green tea (recommended by a mate for water retention) and I have some hand washing to sort and then an ironing session to attempt.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate ironing? I hate it more when it is combined with hot flushes.... in hot weather...
