Popping in from holiday. Villa sprayed with antibacterial spray and crockery washed. Lots of walking done. Tomorrow crazy golf and swimming. Hope my costume fits.
Hope everyone is ok x
Washed & dried all our towels before leaving home. All home laundry baskets are empty0 -
Ionafan - please don't think you mustn't post just because you can't 'properly' fly - I; for one, am happy to read about your very busy life. I do hope you are taking lots of before and during pictures, then you cna look back and wonder how you put up with it all!
At least you are managing to get some gardening done - much better than letting it take over.
Grass cut. Somebody had a big ceige dog which chased my cat..cat's fine but the dog was out of control, running across a road
Grass cut front and back.
back was easier than front for some reason -*shrug* front looks like it has been done with scossors ;rotfl:Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good evening
I have calmed down a bit now. Sorry for my previous rantI have been moaning to DD1 this afternoon, and feel a bit better about it (she didn't come camping as she was dog-sitting, and entertaining gentleman callers - which I also spoke to her about!)
DD1 & I went to Wa!tr0se for a few bits. it is not a shop I normally go to, but I have been given some vouchers so thought I might as wellI have been doing a lot of my shopping at ald! recently and what a difference!! I couldn't bring myself to buy anything but the essentials I needed as it is so expensive (even if it was 'free' to me!). I decided that I will use the vouchers for larger items if they are reasonable instead of groceries. So I bought DH a present - a new ironing board! :rotfl:
He cut the grass while I was out, then took DD2 & DD1 to the beach for a swim. Hmmm - it was nice to be asked!
3 loads washed & dried. Dinner cooked. That is about it.
Fizz it sounds like you are very stressed. I get very snappy when I am stressed. I hope you are feeling a bit calmer now0 -

Thanks, Valli. Unfortunately my camera has died the death and we can't find the charger for DH's, so I haven't got any "during" photos, but when we've finished everything we intend to take a whole new set of pics from the exact places where the estate agent took the ones for the sale brochure. It already looks totally different
I might have to go and buy a new camera for myself as being without one means that I have no up-to-date photos of the Famous Five (i.e. DGC) and I can't list anything on eB@y
I've had to ignore the garden while my shoulder has been so painful, though this week it really has got a lot better - however, I am still trying to be sensible and pace myself.0 -
Hi, well I've been lurking again for a while but have decided to stop being rude and say hello.
House is looking pretty clean thanks to the threads and it is great distraction from my MA writing - hope you don't feel too used!
Well done for de-lurking - welcome! What are you studying?A great idea - I do most things on my own... ...but going to the cinema on my own has been my everest.
Does anyone want to see the Alan Partridge film - Alpha Papa. None of my friends/family will come with me *sob* I can get to London easily. I do lots of things on my own but I'd really like a friend to laugh with...Goodintentions wrote: »
We are home from camping :j:j I am a miserable cow
You are normal! I loathe camping. My last experience was in the Dordogne over 15 years ago and I thoroughly agree with dusty when she says French rain is so much worse than British rain. You have enough to contend with atm so cut yourself some slack. Dr Bumpkins prescribes a long hot bath, a book & earplugs (so you can't hear your family)
I've done a bit of bathroom s&s ing but I was working this morning and this evening. This afternoon I had a lovely time with my 2 best friends wandering around Rye. I haven't eaten properly so I need to scoff something now.*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. I read that as Valli - a bit harsh, I thought, she's only trying to keep us in order*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
