Not sure how but apparently my 14 y/o has never loaded the DW... that has been remedied sharpish!!!

DD2 home from her overnighter in a tent in the woods.. with several other friends.. I was not happy about it but you can't lock them up forever I guess.

DS2 is being kicked to sort his college place out tomorrow.. and start looking at an apprenticeship thing for next year.. though he is going to struggle to find an employer as they seem to want the brighter ones and he struggles with all things academic.. but a trade would benefit him hugely.

DS3 and DS2 need to tidy their pit.. the floor simply isn't visible.. and they need to organise bags for school/college

Mini pest is sleeping after 10 feeds, 3 nappies and a large vomit.. I think she may have reflux :(

I'm refusing to fly for at least another few weeks I just keep delegating to everyone who walks through the door!

I am on medication for a mild medical condition and I keep forgetting to take my tablets which is really annoying, I feel a bit ill now because I forget yesterday. Anyone got any tips for managing this, other than one of those pill mates? Sigh, must be a sign of getting older.
Programme a reminder into your mobile phone. This is what I've done - even a pill organiser would be no use to me, I need an audible reminder to take the dratted things.:o I always set out our (mine and Mr LW's) daily meds last thing at night, ready for the next day. He only takes meds first thing in the morning, I have to take them 3 times during the day. Morning ones go into little shot glasses and left on the kitchen counter (or in the cupboard if we have dogs staying), my later ones go into two pill boxes, one silver with a butterfly on, the other with an agate top - nicer than a pill organiser if we're out; my mobile squeaks at me at 07:30, 19:30 and 21:30 to remind me to take them.:o
Quick Yay:j Been finding it really hard not having a glass of wine with dinner. There is only so much coke you can drink. The Finns apparently have a much greater selection of non-alcoholic drinks than we ever do. Last night we had, non-alcoholic kir royale, and rhubarb and beetroot juice. Yum. Today at the supermarket I found an entire rack of non-alcoholic wine/sparkling wine etc. One of which was labelled 'Dry'. The sacred word. Will let you know how we get on tonight. :rotfl:No hics necessary:rotfl:
When I was wanting a glass of vino but not allowed it, I found water with a little lemon juice, served in a wine glass was very acceptable.:o I think having it in a wine glass was the important bit; it "felt" right, iyswim.:o

MMM congrats on the safe arrival of your son.

aww Helen hope it's good news.

DS taken to town to swap the duvet cover I thought he wanted for the one he actually wanted. I wouldn't buy it when we saw it as I didn't have my storecard;)

Seen blackberries, in town, by car park so I'm going to go and look for them now, I think.

Nicki - you might find you don't need that gum shield now with the children all going back to school!
Piggers - glad someone is excited about something, even if it is the C word
Helen - hope diagnosis for DH goes ok
Valli - well done on the silver. I need to do this too.
MMM - congrats on new baby

Dogs walked, blackberries picked. Now need to bath dogs and hoover through. I don't think I'm going to have time today to cut the grass. I might have to wake the neighbours by doing it first thing in the morning, but I'll be doing them a favour as it will get them up and back in the routine for the school run.

Afternoon all! I have been to the seaside for short time to get some fresh air (and an ice cream!!). Ratties hammock is in the WM (Beau looked very confused when he went to jump in it!) and bathroom is looking good.

Helen - thoughts and prayers for you and DH xx

Start new job tomorrow so quite nervous about it although it doesn't really seem real at the moment after having 6 weeks off that I'm now going to be going to a new school. I'm sure it'll seem real when I'm leaving here at 7.30 in the morning!

Good luck, juliejim - will be thinking of you. Is it a similar role to your previous one? I'm sure you'll be fab!
