  • Well holiday plans got rather re-arranged today. DH has a paper to submit. He swore he had only about 2 hrs to do. Cue 4 hrs last night and he's done 4 so far today. No museum, just a trip to the supermarket for brain boosting snacks and lunch.

I've been catching up on MSE, but probably ought to do some of my own (paid for) work instead :D Nah. I'm on holiday. I'll do the washing up and read a book.

Quick Yay:j Been finding it really hard not having a glass of wine with dinner. There is only so much coke you can drink. The Finns apparently have a much greater selection of non-alcoholic drinks than we ever do. Last night we had, non-alcoholic kir royale, and rhubarb and beetroot juice. Yum. Today at the supermarket I found an entire rack of non-alcoholic wine/sparkling wine etc. One of which was labelled 'Dry'. The sacred word. Will let you know how we get on tonight. :rotfl:No hics necessary:rotfl:

Jazee - I think I might have to ask on Wednesday. It only happens when I'm stressed and after 6 weeks of school holiday I'm nearing the end of my tether :o

Baths done, flinging done, lunch done, now going to sit and do the sewing if I can get enough light in this livingroom. Its really dull and overcast and this house can be dark at the best of times :(

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I didn't know there was also a FB group. I just sent a join request; initials LF. :)

Flyladies - it cannot just be my bathroom floor that acts as some kind of freaky magnet to all manner of dust, fluff and hair? How often do you all clean your bathroom floors? No sooner is it clean, but I turn around and it looks like it's not been done for a week! :( At the moment, I'm sweeping then mopping thoroughly once a week (moving everything out to do it), and picking up the worst of the fluff/hair bunnies throughout the week as I see them. There is only me and OH using this bathroom, so it's not like we have a big family trailing through it every day. The other bathroom rarely gets used so it manages to stay pretty clean in between weekly Fly-throughs.

  • Afternoon everyone

    I'm back :]

Its been a hectic few weeks and will continue to be so but I must get back into some kind of routine
DH has had the news that he's got a tumour between his Kidney and Bladder so we're waiting for a hosp appointment to see if its malignant or not, he is in alot of pain and is either sleeping or walking the floor spaced out on Morphine [horrible stuff] and is not at work so the only money coming in is ssp and tax credits Gulp!!

Anyhoo the house is in rather a bad way :[ I've just done the bathroom and hoovered up stairs but can't do anymore up there as DH is back in bed for now so I'm about to start on the Kitchen - wish me luck cos its in a poorly way :]

    Catch up later

Get well wishes to who ever wants them

    Ugh

    September

    *is under a black cloud*

on the plus side took a small quantity of silver jewellery to be weighed in yesterday. Broken stuff; stuff I no longer wear - and got a tenner for it!

Clutter out - cash in. BOOM!

(((Hugs))) all round for people under a black cloud, with an OH who is in pain and worried, going alcohol free, and otherwise discombobulated by life.

Today has been set aside for finishing all of those jobs that my three 101 challenges caused. I've got a huge pile of paper that needs cutting into scrap-pad sized (topped by the paper slicer), trays and trays of glass jars ready to have jams, jellies and chutneys funneled into them having been delabelled and the washed, three drawers that still need turning out :o

Plus the last lot of laundry from the chalet as the last set of guests left yesterday. Yay! It means I can now have some time over there to get on with my Fly Challenge.
    Better is good enough.
  • I have been missing from this thread for a few weeks due to my little boy arriving on the 9th August. I have decided that it is time to try and get some flying done again.

    My plans for today:

    Do some of the laundry
    Do some of ironing mountain
    Tidy the kitchen
    Make up bottles for ds2
    Catch up with the thread
Organise what needs to be done next week
    Bath & shower dd, ds1 & ds2
    Sort paperwork for college
Get bags ready for tomorrow (I start my college course tomorrow)
Check Mr A order - scan and put away
    Submit s&s info
    Tidy the living room

I think that is enough for me to focus on today. Hope everyone has a good Sunday x
