I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all :)

On todays lunch menu is the same as yesterday. I will have some fruit salad and cucumber and cherry tomatoes as snacks too.
    Trying to lose weight...
  • Hi everyone! Been a little while since an update from me. I'm still completely on track and I'm on my 8th day today.

I'm afraid I'm committing the ultimate sin and I've got cold pizza in my lunchbox today! But hey, it was homemade last night and waste-not-want-not. Plus I love cold pizza lol!

Hope you're all doing well :)

  • Soup again for me today. #9 I think now.
  • Hello all

    Day 8 for me.

I worked out yesterday that if I can keep this up from now until Christmas I'll save around £280!

    Bet x
Worrying won't stop bad stuff from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good.
  • Day 8/19 for me. Cereal bar for brekkie again, Cheese & Ham croissants for lunch (OH brought home whoopsied croissants last night) :T

Not a NSD :( as went for a hot chocolate with a colleague at lunchtime but as I batch cooked a big pot of mince, sausage casserole and pasta/pizza sauce last night I decided I was allowed a treat. :o

Had a sneeky peak at the bank balance and it looks a lot healthier than usual 12 days to payday and not even had the text from the bank to remind me i'm skint hurrah!:j

I am thinking that for tomorrows lunch I may try to replicate a subway meatball sub.
I have actually never had one from subway (actually I've never had anything from a subway!) so need to go onto their website and look what's in them.

I have 'The Takeaway Secret' book, so i may flick through and see if it's in there too.

    Hi everyone :hello:

Lots of postings today - excellent :j

WTBSE good luck with the weight loss :)

SiberianHusky I love cold pizza too, my DH thinks I'm a minger for eating pizza cold :rotfl:(I like cold chips as well ssshhh)

cardi day number 9 completed indeed :T

I_D_B wow that would be a fantastic saving what would you do with the money saved? :j

Nellie I'm sure the amount of batch cooking you did more than offsets a hot chocolate and your bank balance is saying you are doing fine :T

WTBSE and evie I've got the takeaway secret book on kindle as well, I might have to have a looksy at the weekend if I can get my end of course assignment out of the way :T

I had cheese and tomato sandwiches and a packet of alien crisps. I don't know if my sandwich box was a bit wet before I put my sarnies in it but they were a little bit soggy in the middle. Didn't stop me eating them though :money::rotfl:

I'll do the updates, keep the momentum going as we'll be half way through the month soon - where did the rest of 2013 go?

Hi there, I'm back again hope you've all been doing well !! I have painted far too much trellis, grown stuff, had a break-in and helped OH with DIY. So apologies for my absence :o

OH's new nickname is Bunter after some character in Beano. My mother was shocked that he ate two Jamaica ginger cakes, two malt loaves and a carrot cake on top of two bags of wine gums and three meals a day while on annual leave for a fortnight so that's what she's calling him :D All that stuff was supposed to be stashed for him to take to work, one a week as a treat

He starts his new job next month and because he won't be running round 53 acres managing 21 staff, and visiting architects etc I'm worried that he'll get fat and lose his 32" waist

Anyone have any ideas how to get a carb-loving glutton to cut down lol ? I've already told him he's not to take the lift or sneak off to the subsidised restaurant for a morning fry up ;) He'll be rationed to one wholemeal roll + whatever as well.
Don't yet know whether he'll have access to a microwave or even a fridge.
  • Hello everyone,

My first week at work has gone really well so far although there is an end of week review tomorrow.... So let's hope I'm not the only one who thinks so :-)

Lunch wise I have been doing well and taken my sandwiches and snacks every day. We'd have had two days of tuna crunch, one prawns and one quorn sandwich. Also managed to steer clear of chocolate :-). We do have a small kitchenette and so I might try and take some soup in next week.

Tomorrow I am thinking that I will take him pizza that we have left over from tonight and a bit of salad. (Inspired by the op)

Really sad I know but I love having a lunch box. It isn't Tupperware btw just a clip box. Incidentally my nan had two of the very early Tupperware boxes in a fetching orange!

Anyway I need to think of more ideas.
    Xx
