Hi Tiglath, I'm just wondering if there is something on the low carbs thread or a low carb recipe on the net. They seem to make quite a few things with ground almonds as a substitute for flour.

There is a recipe on the net for pancakes made with egg, cream cheese and vanilla essence, here's a link

Failing that what about making some vegetable pattie type things bound together with egg?

  • DAY 3 ... Brought a packed lunch.

So proud of myself, really. Have not spend a single dime for the last 2 days - on anything at work.

This time I went into the cupboard and searched for the Xmas gift I received, a BODUM tea glass together with the tea. It's going to be very useful... No more cappuccinos and croissants - plus able to avoid buying coffees for colleagues. Will be doing it until I can afford to buy'em coffee.

I am calling it "Trix going cheap and chic".

Well done Trixie and cardi :T you've been updated :)

Trixie I love tea, I've got lots of different kinds in my drawers at work.

cardi I think there are a lot of people wanting something warm for lunch now there's a drop in temperature.

I love Autumn - time to get snuggly :D

  • Another day done today :) Ate my sandwiches in the car on the way home. They were lovely!
  • Bringing lunch to work could be a small thing but I realize now that it is bigger than I could think of. I am saving myself €10 each day. I have been spending money which I don't have....whew!

Thanks for the thread KittieJ.. motivating.

You're very welcome Trixie and I'm glad you are seeing the benefits :)

WTBSE so please tell what you had in your sarnies today :D

I've had lunch at home as it's a non-working day for me :j

  • Haha, i had a falafel and salad sarnie. I made some falafel, then wait until they cool down, and crumble into a sandwich with salad and a dollop of mayo.
    It's to die for!

Also had a go ahead bar.
