Oh Kyle and Twink
I am so so sorry to hear about what has happened today. I do know you said he had worked out the gate Kyle. Your poor Mum will be so wracked with guilt. I felt awful when I sent DGS2 home with a bad toe which is nothing compared to this.
We had to use a gate upstairs for years because DD did the sleep walking thing and she never worked out how to open it! We put gate up upstairs when boys are here for similar reasons as would rather know they were contained if for any reason I didn't hear them padding about at night. Also it means I know where they are in the morning if I am in the shower. It is Mothercare gates we use.
Anyway, try not to dwell too much on it. Easier said than done I know. You will just want the wee darling in your arms.
Lots of love

Hi BusyG
Sounds like your DD2 is a bit like my DGS2 - a bit prone to accidents. He has no fear (DGS1 a bit more cautious). He did a complete fall on his head off the climbing frame the other day. DD watched, knew it was about to happen but couldn't prevent it! It was like one of those slow motion things!

Had an on/off squint at you all today. So pleased missing cat has returned. Hope wee budgie is OK.
Math - thanks for sharing your lovely scenery with us - picture was lovely.
Dlb - sorry to hear your news. Take care.
Kyle - hope your hospital visit OK today.
Twink - hope you enjoyed your day with DGS!
N9eav - Happy Anniversary! Don't drink too much before bedtime IYKWIM!!!!!!!!!!
PennP - well done of assignment. Sorry to hear you are still in quite a bit of pain.
Aussie - hope you OK after your walk. Glad to hear you are enjoying NI. How is the wee dog back home?
Icecube - good for you with the smoking. I stopped just over 4 years ago. Had an odd one over the years but determined no more as I was a very heavy smoker. I must confess I still chomp the odd bit of nicotine gum! Are you using anything to help you?
Jamie - glad to hear you are feeling better. When DD, DGSs, DSIL and I had this in February it caught us all I am afraid - the upside was it was only a sharp 24 hours!
I know I have missed out quite a few of you. I had a post-it at work with various little notes to say tonight but somehow it disappeared this afternoon.
Anyway you all, take care - have a look at Mrs Mc on the OS site - love the sound of the books she bought today!!
Love GB xxx
Im just using willpower at mo :T
When I really have a bad craving I have a bit of gum, but over the past 4 days ive only had a couple of pieces so doing really well0 -
((((hugs)))) to kyle, twink and all of the family, especially lo. Kyle, it could have been so much worse - that won't be much consolation right now but its true. It is a terrible shock for all of you though and will take a day or two to take in. My thoughts are with you and I will offer up a wee prayer that the treatment goes well.
My DS shattered his elbow in PE last year and had to be operated on to pin it back together. He was in hospital overnight and allowed home the next day. Once the pain had settled down, he found it more inconvenient than anything and is now quite proud of the scar he has on his elbow. I'm sure you'll find that your LO will be the same.
We had the most torrential rainstorm earlier and the plants are now looking quite drenched. It hasn't really cleared the air either so the fan will need to go on in the bedrooms tonight if we are hoping to get any sleep.
My DS and DD are doing anything to avoid doing their chores so I must go nag!
Have a good evening. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
