Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.


Good morning everyone - 'fraid I am breaking the rules right now by starting today's daily before having been to bed. The reason for me being up so late is that my kitty Teddy hasn't come home since about 7.00 pm last night. I am so worried. Yes, I know cats like to go for a wander but I can't rest unless I know for sure that he's safe. I've been for a little drive around and haven't seen him (you know what I mean by that I'm sure), so am a bit less worried, but all the same...I just want him home. EDIT - stuck my nose out the window at 4.05 am and there he was chasing a bird. He's in now having breakfast.

The weekend's weather here in N.Ireland has been gloriously sunny and warm. AussieLass has obviously brought the good weather with her - thanks Aussie, hope you're enjoying yourself up in Fermanagh in that fantastic cottage which you picked.

Did I mention I'm off all week? Well - I am! Hurray, no w*r* for a week!

I'm off to look out the window to see if I can spot Teddy. Bye for now.

Snowy, you poor thing .. you must be so tired, glad kitty is ok.

i have just been out the garden for my morning veggie chat.. and all my red cabbages have now gone !!! ... munched to nothing !!!!!! its not slugs.. its pigeons !!!! im not a happy bunny now !!!! i know they have to eat but all of them they scoffed now !!!!!

im off to Asda for the day today... its a long way from here and its the biggest in England .. so it will take ages to have a good look round !!!! my friend is picking me up at 9am and we are going to have breakfast there.

MY whole body is aching from yesterday and my house is in need of everything doing as i was out all weekend !!!!!! Oooops out again today and def not doing it tomorrow as it will be my birthday.. so looks like im going to be needing Kim and Aggie by weds !!! lol !!!!!! i think that with OS we get into such a routine that if you dont then do something you go into panic mode !!!!!
What do you all do ... if its a nice sunny day do you put the gardening before the housework ?

Morning. It's my wedding aniversary today... 19 years... I bought lots of roses for the OH last night, so that's my bit done. I am off to work soon, and she has a maths exam. At least the stress will be over by this evening.
I am planning stuffed giant mushrooms for starter. Followed by Alice Springs chicken (this is fab if you want a recipe). and strawberries.
I hope there is something special in store for bedtime..... depends how much wine I drink I guess:rotfl:
Well folks, have a nice day... Looks a little overcast here, but it's still hot. We could use a drop of rain me thinks, it's a bit dry.

congratulations N9eav. it will be our 19th anniversary next month too. dont know how you feel but I find it quite scary 19 years have just flown by.

off to work soon. working all week which is great for money making (extra hours) but at the moment it seems a long way till friday. still got a night out with some colleagues on friday to aim for

Well, im working today (3 LOs) and my 2 also have a baker day, so a full house here!!! Should be quite nice really, as the older ones will help with the LOs and give me some time to get some bits done around the house, that i wouldnt normally get chance to do.

I went to bed with a headache last night, and ive woken up with a worse one, so im hoping the paracetamol will kick in soon (must be bad for me to take something, i normally hate having to take anything). Going to go finish my cuppa and hopefully it will have gone before first LO gets here.

Ive been up for a few hrs now but was hoping to go back to sleep:rolleyes: ...it didnt happen! The nasty nurse has been here and am feeling a bit sore:o

Not enough washing to put a load on, but DW has been emptied and toilet scrubbed-James:p :rotfl: OH has just made a lovely fresh coffee and am just eating a digestive with it:o

Glad your moggy came home and you can sleep better tonight!

Hi all

Been up since 5, couldnt sleep, then tried to find my glasses. fell asleep with them on in lo's bed, turned the bedroom upside down basically then dh found them umder the mattress! now how did they get there?:rotfl:

Soon off to aberdeen for trip to hospital, mum looking after lo, so no doubt there will be shopping involved;)

Off to work in 5 minutes, I've fed the fish, next doors 2 cats & Thumper & Ogden & let them out for the day. I'm taking leftovers from yesterday for lunch & also taking loads of info for work colleague who asked for help.
Not much else happening here.

Not slept well again, too much on my mind at the minute, have so much to do this week and now need to make sure its all sorted in super fast time as not sure when uncles furneral is going to be.
Its my ds2 10th birthday saturday, and havent sorted anything yet, so need to go and get his present, which i had arranged with a friend to go and pick it up friday as iv pre ordered it but need to rearrange that to earlier in week, need to food shop today down to the last of everything, ironing taking over again and house needs a good going through.
