If you read further down the order page it says

    * To identify your iPhone 5 model number, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3939. For details on LTE support, contact your carrier and see www.apple.com/iphone/LTE.

And when you go to the LTE page, they still only have EE listed
This page has only ever listed 4G networks that were live or about to launch. See the snapshot of this page on the iPhone 5's launch date. It would be reasonable for a consumer to understand that Vodafone, O2 and Three were not listed simply because their 4G networks were not imminent rather than because the iPhone 5 would never work on them. In any case, we already know that the iPhone 5 is compatible with Three's forthcoming 4G network.

Well, at least partly compatible. It won't be able to utilise their 800Mhz allocation, so might appear to have poorer coverage than a phone with the full allocation of bands built in.

The same is true of EE.

Yes, the iPhone 5 is never going to be the phone for someone who wants everything 4G can offer. It's always going to be a stopgap handset until the next fully compatible iPhone arrives.

True, but EE are aiming for 98% coverage purely on 1800mhz with the 800 just filling in gaps and reinforcing signal. So the iPhone 5 should be just fine.

Especially since 800mhz isn't even being rolled out until this time next year. And most will have 2 years up by then.

Three is using EE's network so should work.

3 are building their own network. They are only using part of EE's originally allocated spectrum.

Using a bit more than just that from EE at the moment ;)

Hi, when ordering the iPhone 5 from Phones4U one of my main concerns was if it was going to be compatible with the upcoming 4G from o2. They clearly said it would in fact work with o2's 4G. So o2's 4G started getting rolled out so I made a call to o2 to see what I would need to do to be ready for it and obviously I was informed that it would not possible for me to receive 4G on the iP5.

I was not very happy about this because in all honesty it was one of the primary reasons for me upgrading to the iPhone 5 as my previous phone was the 4s and with out the 4G there is not an awful lot of difference between the two.

I have since spoke to Phones4U who admitted they were telling people it would work on the o2 4G network when it was available. I was offered to buy my contract out with a 25% discount, which o2 are offering to existing customers anyway. This would cost me in excess of £500. I have escalated the complaint and waiting to hear back from them.

Where exactly do I stand on this and what should I be expecting as a resolution?

Aren't we scraping the bottom of the 'mis-selling'- barrel now? Really?

God forbid someone takes responsibility for a purchase that they have made - it's not like Apple were quite clear it would only work on EEs bands, and o2 and Vodafone both state that it wont work with them.

Yawn. Any more buyers remorse/mis-selling threads?
