for you Grannynise, I shall be thinking about you tomorrow.
My DD's teachers had to do this last year when DH died and they did it so sensitively for which I shall be indebted to them. Not a task you ever think you will have to doOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Morning all. :hello: Another miserable day here, think DD will have to swim to school at this rate :rotfl: Thankfully in the restbite yesterday evening I managed to take all my little pots of plants out of the holeless tubs I've had them in (washing up bowls basically so I can water them more efficiently in the hot weather
) and lay the containers out on the paving to catch the rain
Also took the plug out the middle of my garden table where I'm currently keeping all the plants to let the water drain away as it was flooded about an inch deep yesterday
Had to put DD's summer dress in the freezer last night, something along the lines of chewy on it but it's all smeared so I'm hoping it will come off!

A busy day today - OH is working from home so got to keep out of his way a bit apart form endless cups of coffee. Missed Kim and Aggie last night as he got caught in the flooding on the M40 and the accident last night so cooking and eating at 8
grannynise: horrid job - I used to teach at a special school where some of the illnesses were terminal. Death was a fairly common occurrence but every time the head cried and so did we along with their friends. Next day was always a tribute from the children to their friend - always their ideas. It sort of gave them closure if you like. Hugs to you ...
Better be off to start! Well DW is already stacked from breakfast and 1st load of washing is in. Kitchen and bathrooms S&S'd. Gonna be the TD today I think. Then down to the PO ..
Have a good day all

Where abouts is the wedding michelle? Forcast is decidely dodgy for most parts. I have a friend who is getting married on Saturday as well so keeping fingers crossed for her too.
Doncaster - a hotel in Bawtry, so at least she doesn't have the dash to church, and then from church to the reception.
Hopefully it will burn itself out today. One of my poor cats was out all night (silly thing wanted to) and came home drenched. Other cat peed on the floor rather than in the urine sample stuff, so most had soaked into the carpet, but he'd done enough on a pplastic bag to get a sample. That has only been on the list ALL week.
Also the fridge has leaked again, so yet another good start to the day in our household.
Oh well - nothing i can do about either apart from tidy up.

Thank you for all the positive thoughts. Strange how people you don't really know can support you in a difficulty. Had to tell the class that the little girl was in, then her brother's class and then the rest of the school, and write a letter to go home to parents. Obviously the emotion came through (i'm a great crier
) but not to a point where I lost control ... I don't think it's wrong to show children that you're upset at a time like this even though the very little ones don't truly understand.

Morning all.
Well done grannynise, such a hard job to have to do.
************
Finished flinging in the bathroom and went through stocks of toiletries etc. to see what I've got and got rid of stuff that I know I'll never use. Cleaned top of bathroom cabinet and wiped over stuff up there (things that are too tall to go inside).
Washed bathroom and toilet floors.
Dusted and polished and vacuumed all bedrooms.
Flung old telephones that didn't work properly. We got new ones last month (house phones not mobiles) but I was just making sure they worked properly before I flung the old ones. Gone now.
Dried half the washing before it rained. It's stopped now but the clouds are building again. Not going to put any back out, it will have to dry on the indoor line.
Prepared veg for lunch.
I want to wash my bedroom curtains, looks like Sunday has the best forecast so I'm aiming for then. Has to be good weather so I can get them back up - I don't have any spare sets.
Coffee time!0
