"No unaddressed mail" might be the answer if you can find one.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Actually, I've just remembered something I did years ago, that did work.

After the postman has been, (who brings enough c*** anyway !), put something behind the letter box flap so that it is jammed shut. This seems to confuse them totally and they wander away in a daze and give yours to next door !

Put 2 tiny hooks each side of the letterbox flap on the inside of the door and thread a steel knitting needle through.....:p

LOL the problem now though is, you never when the postman is going to arrive. Most of the leaflet distributors are out before the postie, it's not regular like it used to be first thing in the morning, it's generally any time in the afternoon when I'm at work that he decides to show up - hence the reason I always have to back and pick parcels up at the depot.

If you tell them that you are removing their "implied right of access" to your property any further newspapers delivered are "trespass".

I like this one! Have you a legal reference for it?

I work away, and when home have to wade through the free newspapers that have been only half pushed through the letterbox and are ***s wet through.

    Regards

I've put a NO LEAFLETS NO TAKEAWAY MENUS on our letterbox, we do sometimes get the odd blasted menu, I ring up the takeaway place & have a bit of a rant!!
The junk mail To The Homeowner or various leaflets delivered by postman has stopped since we completed an opt out form with Royal Mail.

Part of theproblrm is that the leaflet deliveries are people who are paid to deliver 1000 of them or somthing similar. all they want to do is get shut of them asap so a door that says they don't want themis 1 more house they will need to visit so they stuff one through anyway, they don't care they just want to get shut of them. we got a semi local takeaway menu 3 times on different days a few weeks ago. Free papers are very similar they just want it over and done with.

Ohh and don't forget that the postie also delivers a batch of junk mail now as it is another way for the post office to make money.

Why not get your own back assuming the companies are local and post a load of unwanted buff on there doorstep/letterbox to see how they like it.

I'm sure I read something somewhere about being able to stop Royal Mail delivering junk mail with regular post - didn't a postman get the sack for explaining to customers how to stop them delivering it?
I went to the Sorting Office to ask them to lay off delivering the junk mail, but they've taken no notice. I just re-address it now and send it back to them :D

Just shove all your junk mail into a post box .

If we all did this it would cost Royal Mail more to sort and dispose of it than they make from delivering . Problem solved !
