Well done on your huge PAD you should be really proud of yourself and a fantastic savings balance too.
It's odd how some days it's easy being a dfw and other days it's a struggle.
Could you give yourself a little treat - nothing to break the bank but something you have wanted rather than need.

I have the holiday to look forward to and that needs to be paid next week... I think I was just having a wobble
I have had PPI claim acknowledgement today so hopefully will hear a decision before Christmas
Fingers crossed!

Happy lunchtime all
Another home made lunch for me, a chicken sandwich and lots and lots of fruit haha! I also have some biscuits to have later with a coffee
This week has been an odd one with hubby working nights, I have hardly seen him. Glad the week is almost over, he has just one last night shift to do tonight.
PADs made today totalling £370.43 to credit card and savings. I was hoping for a NSD but had to pay lottery at work and chuck in for someone's leaving present. The car is going in for it's repairs and MOT tomorrow so by tomorrow afternoon she should be all sorted. That just leaves the dog to get back to full health!
I was supposed to be working at a party for my second job tonight but the host has a poorly child so has had to cancel. I am disappointed but I was awake a lot of last night with the dog so I will be grateful for an early night. A glass of wine and some senseless TV is in order I think :T
So, the PPI complaint acknowledgement arrived yesterday, don't get me wrong, I don't think I'm due thousands as it was only a small store card account and I cancelled it after I realised I wasn't able to claim. However it WAS mis-sold as 'it will give you a better chance of the application being approved' scenario and they didn't let me know exclusions  - 8 weeks waiting on average so I will hopefully know an outcome by Christmas. Would be nice to have some extra holiday spending money!
The PS4 fund is still looking healthy with only £75 to go before I hit the total, then I will only have to get him a couple of games for Christmas.
I will have to move some of my savings by the end of the month as I have paid for the vets, car and I have to make the final payment for my holiday too. That will be about £525 in all but hopefully it won't take me long to replenish it. (could have had an iPhone 5S for that...:rotfl:)
Right, I'm off to check out the Tesco website and plan my 'offers' shopping for the week!
Keep smiling

Hi
Fantastic PAD yet again. You are the queen of PADding.
Senseless tv is always good after a week at work never mind a sleepless night due to poorly dog. Hope you get a decent nights sleep tonight.
PPI claim has got to be worth a punt - I've had some cracking news today about mine. Hope you get some good news before Xmas.
Not long till the release of the ps4. It must be brilliant knowing that through planning and careful budgeting you can buy the fantastic present in cash.
Hope you have a nice relaxing evening xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

So, life has got in the way...
Our boiler has packed in, we have done repairs for the past few years but it's finally died and it's going to be £1500 for a new one.
Feel like I'm back to square one

Aww really sorry about the boiler.
It's a blip but your in such a better place to deal with it than you were. You have possibly taken a step back but nowhere near where you started. Could you have imagined if you had continued your old spending pattern and then it had happened. SHTF springs to mind rather than a set back.
I know it's probably doesn't feel that way right now and will feel like an agh moment but as you say unfortunately life has a habit of getting in the way. Hopefully you've had your three now, dog, mot and boiler.
If it takes you a few months longer to get to your goal it's not a failure it's life but with your determination, tenacity and positivity you'll get there.

So, here we are on another Monday, I have a really busy week at work so it should pass very quickly and get round to the weekend again. Meetings all week too which mans lunch is provided every day, no spending there! Today is the first NSD of the week and I am aiming for at least 3 more before the weekend.
It was a very sad day yesterday when I transferred all my savings to pay for the boiler to be replaced. I know that I am fortunate that they are there for me but I was getting very attached to the increasing balance! I can’t help feeling it’s a major set-back and it’s killed my positivity somewhat. I still have the PS4 savings so it won’t impact on Christmas which I am glad about. There always seems to be something doesn’t there?
Dog is back to the vets tonight for a check-up but there’s no charge for this appointment which is a bit of positive news! I have made my weekend pads but only just updated today as I have not been able to get on the computer much. I will probably only be able to make fairly small PADs for the rest of the month now as money is needed elsewhere. I have to tax my car before the end of the month too, perhaps I should take the 6 month option so that it’s not all at once next year? I begrudge having to pay the inflated admin fee though as it works out quite a bit more expensive
OOhh aren’t I a grump today? :rotfl:
I will be having a little word with myself and promise to be back to my usual self soon… need to focus on the upcoming holiday as much as I can!

Hi sweetheart.
Are you feeling any brighter today? Hope so as you have come so far.
Realistically how many people do you know who would have had enough money in the bank for an emergency and expensive job - not many but you did, so how fantastic is that.
