well I have made a good dent in the spare room, it lead to me sorting airing cupboard as I needed to put away some towel so that's something else ticked off

have just cooked and am now eating tea, then I'm off to 4ldi to do the shopping

  • I've been relatively good today considering I got hee haw sleep last night. DS2 got up this morning with a sore throat and a temperature so he was sent back to bed after some parrots.
DDs new Darcey Bussell bedding arrived this morning so when she got in from school she opened it and helped put it in the WM then gladly helped me to ...
    Strip her bed
    Sort through her soft toys
    Put her toys past
DVDs put in their cases and put in her storage box
    Clothes hung up put past
Dusted the book case, tv, DVD player and bedside cabinet
Wash the bed frame, window ledges, light switches, wardrobes and chest of drawers
    Hoovered
Cleaned out Rabbit and fed him!

I then got her to hang up her blazer and take it to her room along with her other school stuff then we made the bed up with her new stuff. I can tell by her reaction that it will be an early bed tonight ;)

OH just decluttered to chemist for liquid parrots as DS1 can't swallow the tablets now.

Think I might clear the kitchen. Rubber gloves on then I suppose !

Not had the most productive of days.

Paid work for 2 hours first thing, then home to try and declutter girls carp from the lounge. Showered, got the boys to try on their suits; shortened DSS's cravat, took in and up DS1's trousers, kissed DS2 atop the head for not having grown or shrunk since wedding garb was purchased. Got the girls to try on their bridesmaid dresses, confirmed everything still fits, steamed EVERYTHING and packed it into suit carriers for trip north next Wednesday. Trip to @ldi and t3sco, lost another £100 :( then home to put shopping away. Tried not to notice how much of the grocery run was boozed based. Whatevs, I'm on holiday for a week and a half now :D

In between I have washed up x LOTS, WMx2, cleaned the bathroom and S&S kitchen for the bazillionth time. Now to cook dinner, boss DSD and DD into washing up and DS2 into clearing the table and wiping up.

Heh, hee haw, I've no heard that since I was wee! A friend of mine of Facebook was complaining about "wee lads chapping the door and cliping" a couple of weeks ago, it made me laugh too.

Tired and fed up tonight. Seem to have done nothing but housework this week - in between working and ferrying the kids where they want to be. OH has been off work this week and has done booger all.

OK the house looks fairly presentable, thanks to the help/motivation/kicking up the bum of the other ladies on here. But I seem to have worked really hard at it - and no-one else is interested.

Any ideas on how to motivate a husband and two teenagers into helping me with this - other than arguing with them????

Sigh. Off to finish tidying the kitchen and study. Going to tackle the kids bedrooms tomorrow as a rainy day is forecast.

Have ironed my bedding - two sheets, duvet cover, 4 pillow cases and four pillow protectors and put it back on the bed...I'm rather looking forward to getting in it tonight!
Most washing ironed, last bit to do.

    Been a busy day...

Whoever was wanting MELAMINE plates etc - they have it half price in Dunelm Mill (Honey bear?)
