    Hope it goes well xx
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks guys much appreciated it was a long day but all done now and packed ready to go tomorrow at sparrows. Pre interview test was fine not sure I was strategic enough in my presentation I could have prepped it at home as I should have known what it was. Staff panel had 6 people on it 1 I know really well the others so so but one I didn't know at all. I think it went well that bit but interview was so so as I had to give examples and I used old ones not ones from this job which might be wrong but I felt I had written it to death in my application. Not heard a thing but know there was three candidates one yesterday and one after me. I was out just before 12 not sure if that was too quick but did my tutoring and said a few goodbyes before I left at 4.

I am not officially unemployed first time since I left University. Strange but ok actually so need some time off.

If I don't get the job it was because there was a better candidate and that's fine. I'm sure my manager will call me either way she wouldn't just email even if I'm abroad.

Feels weird no proper goodbye but I got a nice card and some chocolates from the person I was covering that was really nice. Still wish I knew either way .

DG is on her way back so miss her she needs to pack we need dinner and chill out before that early start. Look forward to see the family and chill out for two weeks.

Hope you're all well thanks for reading it nice to know you are there

Fingers crossed, it's difficult to read an interview when you are that involved in it.

    Have a good time

What a roller coaster ride this last week has been last Monday I got an email while on holiday that I hadnt got the job not a lot else I know why and after the disappointment I felt fine. Tuesday I saw a perfect job very suitable for me which I took the whole day out of apply for (missed going to a theme park with pre booked tickets). Lost the documents just as I was about to send it to had to do the whole thing again. Didn't hear about the job but there was two deadlines one being the 26/7 one being 5/8 so might still happen.

Got an email from brother in law in South Africa he wants to buy my share of the house could we sort a price and agree by mid September. Huge relief really as I didn't really want to do the hassle of selling on the open market.

Arranged now that I wasn't working to go down and sort cats out next week and tried to book vets appointment to have teeth out. Also found out my really old friend would love to adopt the cats but need to see how they get on with his cat and dog.

All this happens while at the cottage by the sea Saturday we go back to my mums and Sunday DG goes back home. I wake up this morning it's my birthday so when I get a call from my neighbour I think it's to say Happy Birthday. It wasn't she was over feeding the cats (she'd been away Thrus to Sun) so only went over Monday and she found my ex fallen over in the lounge dead. Just horrible so she arranged for medics etc and called me. I had to break the news to FIL and BIL just not nice but glad it was me.

Feel so strange relief that it's over as he didn't have any life and at least it was quick but not nice to think of his dead for at least a day before he was found. Lots of emotions I must admit and kind of blessing that I'm out of work and have time to sort all of this.

I'm going to continue my holiday as planned and go back Sunday then travel down to house Tuesday and stay the week. BIL will be over tomorrow morning so they can arrange funeral but there will be coroners so could be a while.

Found a perfect job to apply for where I know the CEO it's 28 hours but good salary so will apply but didn't really feel like it today. Closing date is Monday so time still.

So there you go from being a MFW to paying the mortgage off 9 years early and having the freedom the now owning a house solely and need to make my next move. What a ride my diary is on here thanks for reading.

Goodness TG that was one hell of a week. Sorry to hear about your ex, but as you say, probably a blessing in disguise.

Sorry about the job, but looks like better alternatives may be out there for you anyways.

Tallgirl, can't just read and run after your last post. So sorry about your ex, drink is a really hard thing, my husband found his dad in a similar state just 2 years ago so at least you were spared being the one that found him. Anyway, as you say it's better in a lot of ways for him but I feel sorry for his poor father too.

Take care of yourself, this will raise a lot of memories for you I'm sure, so be kind to yourself, you are allowed to grieve even though you were no longer with him.

    Be kind to yourself
