Glad it all went well TG.

It's huge project getting that house sorted it's just to dirty and I have so little time. Yesterday was manic this was what I did.

    Washing and dishwashing continued
    Took carload to dump
Met DG mother for quick coffe don't know her that well and she was visiting family in this area
Met ex manager and kind of ex friend which upset DG chat was good actually and DG will be ok
Met three ex colleagues and got some advice re estate as one is a specialist
Raced to the vets got Jacks injections and arranged September to have his teeth out
Went to see FIL and BIL took clothes with me for ex dh and also my mum found picture for order of service.
    Dinner with BIL

Home knackered that was non stop all day.

Today is walk with friend at 11.30 then lunch then cleaner coming to help sort house out for a few hours. Want to get into town get cash out for cleaner plus maybe speak to estate agent might not have time.

Need more loads of washing on and more dishwashing as everything is just filthy.

Looks like I might own the business premises which I thought was correct and I even told BIL last time I was over that they were still in ex dh name but he said they weren't. Well landregrestry says differently. I don't think the premises will be worth more than £80k max. This is where things could be sticky with BIL but I'll try my best to keep it nice but it's not my fault they kept it in his name and they have been paying him rent all these years since it went limited. Anyway it will sort itself out and I don't want to jeopodise the business that wouldn't be fair.

Still not found marriage certificate or bought cat food but they have dry food

Had to email for marriage certificate but no reply and phone number doesn't work maybe I should plan a holiday out there lol.

Cleaning progressing cleaner really pleased I gave her £200 she did a lot for ex so happy I did she's coming back to do more cleaning Monday afternoon we can arrange further then. House should be liveable soon but still needs redecorating.

Friend will get cooker and hood sorted for me and he knows a plasterer that's main jobs. Booked central heating guy to take look on Tusday. Had estate agent around they sat rent is £1250 which I knew it was said I would take pets. Won't go with them they have the worst reputation but got idea of prices etc. Tempted to do it all myself as DG can do most of it but do I need the hassle.

In other news have job interview on the 24/8 for 28 hour job quite happy about that.

Saw friend last night and DG came down too much vodka so still in bed but feel guilty so will go over to my house in a min to feed my cats and start sorting stuff.

Rehoming cats today or tomorrow waiting for friend to call me. It's going to be horrible but they cannot stay here.

Also got paid my two weeks owed leave from work most helpful as lots of expenses although BIL is paying for funeral then I'll pay him back.

Well done on the job interview, will keep everything crossed for you.
I know it will be heart breaking to rehome the cats, but if it is a friend you should at least get regular updates.
    Hugs. xx

Thanks Vandafc they came over today him and his daughter we had both cats in but Jack managed to open the flap and escape even though it was locked. Thomas is with my friend now I'm hoping he's ok he became quite relaxed with them allowed the daughter to brush him and my friend put him calmly in the box.

I'll miss him but I don't feel as devastated as I thought I would maybe because jacks still around.

Took two carloads to tip so nice to get rid off all the bottles. Kitchen cupboards done just draws left and almost all glass etc washed from cabinets in the lounge. I want those empty easier to paint room. Going to packed all glass tomorrow and clear garage so we can start piling things in there for sale or for taking to London.

Another estate agent will be over Tuesday and I've got a painter and decorator around next week. I'll go back to London Tuesday with my mum and then back down Friday morning staying until Tues as my interview is Wednesday. Should get a lot done hopefully tackle the garden must mow the lawn tomorrow or it will be so long.

Mum arrives tomorrow look forward to seeing her.

Night night from me need an early one

Good luck with the job and I hope you are enjoying having your Mum over.

Given the circumstances, I thinkyou are doing really well getting everything straightened at the house.

    Thanks Bugslet much appreciated.

Funeral done service really nice did my tribute walked behind the hearse to the cemetery coffin ready to be walked to the grave when undertaker came back and everyone looked puzzled. The was no hole in the ground so we had to have the wake first then come back what a mess but ex dh would have found it funny honestly and out of the 40 who came doe the funeral 15 stayed for the full four hours. Dread the bill but surely they'll have to knock some off for that mess.

Mum is still here we came up to London last night had a meal at our favourite restaurant. Got lots done at the house plumber thinks system is fine but giving me quote to replace what is old.

Got charity shop to remove funiture on the 27/8 and lined up decorator and friend to sort repairs out.

Met with two estate agents one I'm definitely not using by the other as personal recommendation from someone who rent from them and I know someone who works there. I can do a corporate left via company to Royal Navy staff from abroad means guaranteed rent and repairs and they will send them home if they don't pay. There is also a gardener that looks after the garden.

Fee is 8% plus vat but he can get £50 more than other guy so seems a win win easy option. Will need to clear everything but they don't need the loft so I can store a lot of belongings meaning I won't have to chuck so much or cram it up here or pay for storage. Need DG to check deal and then I'll sign up if the navy agree my house is suitable.

Breakfast with mum and DG in a bit then walk to the Thames with mum before taking her to the train station at 12. Been a short visit but really nice to have her here.

Money wise I'll have to use savings credit card needs paying and I also need to live. FIL wants to inform insurance company of death via some IFA I would rather do it myself but as I cannot find marriage certificate guess there's no rush. Going back down to house Friday staying until Tuesday to sort more also need to get new carpets ordered but plasterer and decorator first. Will be great to get furniture removed and I can also have some of it here which will help a lot.

Lots to do today main priority is to work on a 10 min presentation for job interview Weds. Making a list now can look later and see how I get on:
    Prep for job interview
    Call estate agent

Call Guardian company re emptying of bins or lack off

Call friend re plastering, hood, oven and small repairs
Call decorator arrange to meet this week or early next week

Email FIL re meeting Friday remind him to chase ex dh last wages plus info for probate

Find relevant forms for letter of administration and get DG to print them out

Start making lists off everything that needs doing for probate and house.

It's a lot but job interview comes first at least most important.

Oh no, that was a bit embarrassing with the funeral. A friend's father died and the priest that took the funeral was absolutely !!!!!!. Not funny at the time, but she looks back and laughs about it now. It was nice that so many people came to the funeral. When Mr Bugs died, I had an open bar at his local for those that came to the funeral and it made me smile to see the first line on the bill was 33 Peroni:eek::D and then on it went.

Sounds like a no-brainer on the Navy letting, good find there.

Please do hear the cats are settling in, it will be a good move for them to have more routine.

Good luck with the job prep.
