Thanks Rasputin and Vanda FC both very sensible and much better deal to not buy the phone. I am going to call EE and ask for best Sim only deal they have (just to save hassle of switching as I can make do with 2GB of data now I have wifi at home.) If they can do it for £10 a month I will go with that and once the new Iphone 7 is announced the older models are bound to drop.

Struggled to get to work flooding at station and DG late for client appointment with interpreter. Bless her not good.

Meeting today cancelled so gives me time to catch up volunteer managed to do almost my entire website she is such a star that one wish we could employ her.

Thanks for talking me out of buying a new phone money better in the bank.

Back to work I am guessing might be a long one but only two meetings so not all bad.

Update spoken to EE they matched the BT deal I could get with my broadband so for £9.99 I now have: (usual cost would have been £17.99)
    2GB of data
    unlimited calls and & text
plus free calls and text Europe to Europe and back to UK which is a massive boost for me.

I usually have wifi in Denmark but sometimes calls are just nicer and whatsapp can be a pain.

Happy days that is a £15 saving must add that somewhere so it doesn't get spent.

Late to add to the iphone debate but glad you went for the MSE option. Buy a new battery, makes a world of difference. My DS 'needed' a new phone because of battery issues but a new battery sorted it out. Interestingly, now he pays for his own phone he is happy with an older sim-only contract. Wonder why?

Thanks chickadee we got a new battery for DG phone and she gave that to my mum it's like a new phone so yes I know that option is a good one.

Just battled for two hours to travel the 6 miles home from work Waterloo was shut really messes things up as I go by normal train. Got home by tube walk and bus plus walk the last mile when the traffic so just a standstill.

Now for a much needed shower and then early start tomorrow and hope the flooding clears so trains work again.

In other money news I have paid my credit cards so no balance on either and still money in the bank

At work for 7.30am DG needed to do some work so as I was awake and I didn't know what travel would be like made sense to come in early.

Feel strange about the EU referendum result, when I lived in Denmark we had a series of referendums and they kept voting until they got the result they wanted e.g. DK is in the EU. I can see that happening here as the referendum isn't binding. I couldn't vote as I am not a UK citizen but if I could I think I would have voted to stay. DG voted out.

Going to treat myself to lunch as my lunch pack is almost empty my weekly treat is actually nicer than just doing it on a daily basis as I haven't sorted lunch out to take with me. I have about £500 left after all bills have come out until I get paid on the 15th July. I wont need a travel card just a weeks worth as I am away on the 21st so not worth buying a full month.

Not sure how much I will be able to save I need spending money in Denmark and with the weak £ will need a bit more now even if I have a few pennies in Denmark already. Best thing is I wont be overdrawn or have loads to pay on credit cards feel I am well and truly back to my MSE ways has helped I don't have to travel to see DG and that she is working so I don't have to pay for food for both of us.

Enough waffle let work begin which is why I am in early.

Leadership course is amazing long day didn't get home until after 9 last night but met some lovely people all doing the same as me and only knew a couple so good way to expand my network. Today we are doing Simulations which I think is a posh word for role play. I'm going to miss one session on the 26th July as I'm in Denmark just can't be helped. Looks like I'll end up with a one to one session on my last day which is fine actually.

Work well one team are still playing up looked and replied to a few emails but that is about it. Final decision on redundancies will now be Weds so hopefully we can all more on. The one who's caused the most hassle is staying sadly but taking to the other managers on my course they've had similar issues with that type of team.

Money wise doing quite well no spend yesterday apart from coffee and porridge before course as I was so early and gets lunch again today even if it is sandwiches so carbs they are quite nice and lots of fruit.

Need to get up hope you're all busting hat mortgage and enjoying the Summer (forget Brexit and loosing to the minion football team)

Didn't get my lunch with me this morning DG didn't want to miss the bus so will need to buy some but its ok it wont go to waste.

Work is going to be busy after having been away for two days but all good just sad to be handing it all back and still no news about "my" new job hopefully today.

Saw Martins newsletter about the Tesco deal for cinema tickets definitely going for that we have a Cineworld near us. Would like to see Ab Fab.

Got a txt from neighbour back South feeding my cats ex DH had put a pizza in the oven and left it on while passed out on the sofa. Smoke alarms going off but he was just sitting there. I suspect she woke him up. Really scary don't want him to burn the house and all my things down maybe I need to move forward on my plans. I cannot apply for a mortgage until I get a job obviously but I really don't like things as they are. Still nothing will happen until after I come back off holiday so just have to sit tight.

Talked to DG about how I used to match bet and that I don't do it now she said she gets easily addicted to gambling so that was kind of nice to know. I didn't say I used to gamble a lot and waste so much money but I said I could easily get addicted hence why I don't do it now. It was actually down to match betting on here that got me hooked its all those casino offers they chuck at you after you open their Sports account. Still not spent any money on any type of gambling after coming back on here. Don't even feel like it need all my pennies if I am to be without a job for a bit and also would like you get laser treatment for my eyes had a bad eye infection last August so cant wear my lenses so much and I am paying £40 a month for lenses.

Right must get back to work.

    Hi Tallgirl,
Good luck with the job news............
I also became quite silly with the online Bingo about a year ago, think I used it as a distraction a (very expensive distraction) also whilst using all of the free offers like yourself. In January this year I found an online site Unibet “did have to join to get the free code but worth it “were as when you are a member they give you a free code to block all betting from your laptop for a year with Betfilter for free....normally quite expensive. If the temptation creeps in give it a go…..worked for me x

Morning DG has the day off to go out with her mum so finding it hard to motivate myself to get up. I might stay late anyway as she's not back until late as I have a lot to catch up on. Last two days in charge but that's ok as I still have three weeks left exactly today. I do need to ask them about the new job as she said as long as it would be advertised in June she was ok but we're in July tomorrow so I cannot see them advertising it in July or Agust which means quite a bit of time off for me. Not sure I'm on leave until the 7/8 anyway and have enough leave to cover that however if advert goes out in September with three week closing date were looking bed September. I suspect my manager isn't sure herself but all redundancies are now done so really hope she will move on this.

I don't mind have time off I do feel I need it always started one job after another. It would give me time to sort out rehiring my cats and possible even the house. I could see friends further away even if DG would moan I would be away but she would of course let me. I have savings and it's cheap living here of course so I'm actually fine about it.

Spent money on lunch yesterday only salad from Sainsbo queue in Pret horrible. Going to remember my lunch today for sure. Also bought Ecco sandals on eBay £34 incl postage new they cost £80 and I pair of mine are broken. Still doing well on the money front last DDs coming out on the first and last payday 15/7 but I might actually not get a full wage as were paid two weeks in advance we shall see.
