Audit cancelled not sure why proably for the best. iT company really annoyed me today but survived my supervisor session has a volunteer to help me and we only had five clients in over two hours. East peasy when it's like that. Having a well earned beer after my 12 hour day not sure I will make it in that early tomorrow.

Diva woman not in today and horrid one behaved herself which. Was all good in the end. Two more days to go now broken the back of manager being away.

Totally especially as I had one gateway and three advisers plus a second supervisor. Usually it's ten people before we even open the door but not for the evening session.

Couldn't sleep properly last night I really don't think working late is for me I so much prefer the mornings to nights. Gym today so that should helps sleep tonight.

Day six out of seven I'm getting there :j

Oh how positive I was this morning also got a nice text from manager saying she was sure I had done well last night. This was however quickly shattered by paid supervisor. Firstly she moaned I hadn't checked and authorised the cases from last night but I said just in case I have missed something please check them. Then she found fault with all three and she really made them into serious one as the day progressed one by one. By the last one I was starting to realise we did get parts right she just omitted to mention this. Crap really as she should know better but that's why we had to get someone else to coach the newbies and I totally see why now. Still feel crossed with myself but then feel actually the faults weren't that bad.

Anyway enough moaning come back from the gym full of energy and survived day five out of six and it's Friday tomorrow.

Very easy to criticise. Much harder to give constructive feedback. If she is lacking in that department, you can see how she would do damage to others with low self esteem or who lack confidence.

Now you have experienced it, you can support others when she is working.

Wise words and very true she often seeks my advice if she is unsure if she is bing too harsh. I shall definitely watch out now and remember how it felt.

Survived the last day and managed to leave just after five. Had a nice drink with friend from work and went back to hers didn't drink after that so drove home.

Been gardening today and starting to prep for painting the kitchen got tester pots but so hard eventhough DH and I usually like the same things.

My lovely neighbour has got their fence repair guy to quote us for the work we need £180 to patch things up down the side of the house. Coming on Thursday same time as the cavity wall chaps hope they don't get in each others way. Watching the Masters Thomas is doing really well.

That weekend went quickly gardening all got done looks nice now and peas and broad beans in the veg patch. Going to concentrate on peas and beans and salad then green house with cucumber pepper and poss something else.

Loads of flowers have over wintered so don't need to buy any bedding plants. Varnished the edges of the kitchen worktops still not decided on a colour grey is the favorite but unsure.

Sunday played golf badly and it was a team game so not signed up for next week need to practise DH does so much I need to do it too.

Meeting today so not going into work until later. I am resigning as chair in this forum been doing it for eight years so time to go but it will be sad as there are no one to take over. I rescued to group from almost death but feel I am handing over in a poor state but cannot do anything else.

Look forward to catching up with manager hope she has had a good holiday and feel less stressed. I think I have dealt with everything (bar her email) which I don't have acces to.

This evening it's club night from 5pm DH is going up then I'm meeting him. I won't get to work until 3pm so cannot see myself leaving early.

Sunny so should be a nice day here.

I usually try the criticism sandwich approach, that is criticism sandwiched between two nice comments, ie, this section was really good, think you need to go back and re-do this section because xxxx, but overall you've got the tone right. Unless something is appalling, you can find one good thing to say.

I don't know how you put up with half of your colleagues:rotfl:, I think they'd drive me nutty - I like straightforward people!

have broken a metatarsal and got impact damage on the cuboid bone. Ho hum. No, I can't get to grips with crutches, but the swelling is down a lot and it's less painful. Spoent the most boring weekend with my foot raised, reading and watching all of series 3 of Game of Thrones! Dull!!!!

Hi Bugslet I was just thinking of you ouch that's the bone the footballers normally break. We are supposed to use the feedback sandwich but she just doesn't get it. Had a chat with manager (who was difficult today as we got our audit report) and she thinks she was just being extra hard. I don't think so and in the three hours I was there she loaded me with work and insisted I read the audit report and started looking at everything. Well I can't as I had other stuff to do and I need time to digest it.

Still I will get it all done but I had to leave at six and I did enjoy the club night.

Summer holiday plans have been changed due to manager wanting the same time off as me. Crap really but I can go early July it doesn't matter. Anyway fed up with today think I shall have an early night.

TG, do you ever, politely, tell your manager that you think she is difficult? Or would that be more trouble than it's worth?
