Hi TG, Good luck with the audit next week. The best preparation is to go into it relaxed, so nothing phases you. After all, what is the worst they can do? Give you some corrective action within a specified time frame, refer you to Membership and Standards? All in all, this is just a learning opportunirty. They are helping you to see how you can improve the quality of work in the bureau. Keep that in mind and it will be plain sailing!
Will think of you next week. But until then, enjoy today and your weekend.

Thanks Tahlullah I shall try it's just the manager gets so stressed out its both organisational and quality of advice so fingers crossed our sample cases seems ok but we have only been on Petra since Aug so a bit tough with the very early cases they have picked. Have things settled down your end? Hope you get some funding soon.

MS tonight they called and asked if I could do it. Not great to be honest cocktail tasted of nothing really still about £4 profit minus a bit for petrol it was about 3 miles from here.

Golf was nice played badly but lovely to see everyone again and signed up for more games incl one for DH when I am doing my exam so he is out of the house.
DH was bad yesterday not sure how it happened but he had tea and cake ready when I got in just after 2.30 he then went to the shops as I wanted some stuff doe lunches etc. came back watched some sport with a beer then went to get s McDonald (he said he had had lunch and he had full English for breakfast) however by 5 he was definitely !!!!ed. Not good so went to bed but then got up had a shandy and then went to bed at 7.30. I am disappointed he has apologised and says he can't drink as much as he used to. Not really the point and he has his blood test today. I think it is a one off but will watch it and see what his results are when we go to the dr on the 3rd April.
Anyway unwards and upwards got the audit at work so best we in early suited and booted. Got lovely homemade rye bread for lunch yum yum.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thank you T.
We didn't get up to he best of starts as I had put in one place about four of the really old files the auditor needed. Everyone knew they were at the front of the cabinet but when we went to get them they were gone. They are just nowhere to be found but they have been scanned so in fairness we don't really need the paper versions. One file may have been shredded and we did find one we thought we had lost altogether which was a big bonus. However three people wasted three hours looking for these fies. Stupid stupid.
Manager is confident we will do ok but I feel the implementation of our IT system has meant we were not as good at writing up the records but we shall see. One advisers said something really bad in front of the auditor so have to deal with that. Anyway get the verdict today so shall see how we get on.
Didn't make it to the gym last night could have done but my feel were hurting so will make Zumba today if the audit meeting doesn't take too long.
DH is ok again he had his blood test so that is a relief. I have got three things I need to do
Phone cavity wall company to make appointment
Make appointment for sight test
Book smear test.
Those are the most important ones the next ones are less important
Check times for MS on Friday
Check ISA
I am actually getting confused about the ISA I only have three and as far as I remember last years was a two year fix so that's ok. The one before that should be a two year one that pays out in May and then the oldest must be three years and I think that's the one that pays out in October. They are all with Santander so if two expires this year I want to put those into one. Won't be able to start one for this year yet maybe nearer the time next year.
Anyway must get in the shower and down to work got fire testing to do and all the things I didn't get to do because of searching for files.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi TG
It's too complicated to go into, but arbitrary changes to my sector of haulage means that we may/may not have to change some of our fleet and as the specialist trailers cost 70k:eek:, it's a bit worrying.... Most frustrating is the not knowing what to do until the legal challenge to the change in contract is over. I really should have worked on being a rich mans bimbo, it would have been easier:p.
The side lawn, if I get round to digging it up, I'd like to have it stepped down and planted. We'll see, I have started digging over at the top where I'm planting some peonies, I have sown beetroot, spinach and radishes and some sweet pears. There's a lot to do and not sure if I will get all I want to do, done.
I hope DH's bloods are OK, one lapse is not too bad, no-one is perfect and if overall he's doing well, that's the main thing. Big picture and all that office/management speak stuff:rotfl:
Good luck with the audit, it's out ISO9002 audit today - I deliberately operate on a KISS ( Keep It Simple Stupid) theory, so it's usually straightforward. I'm not an admin girl.
Will see you in a few days as I'm away again for work tomorrow and Thurs.0 -
Hi Bugslet that does sound scary hope it works out for you ok. Garden plans sounds nice feel free to post pictures if you want help with the design. I like to mix fruit, veg and flowers so it all look pretty.
Work was not good today audit score likely to be 74 to 77% or at best 80 to 81% which doesn't sound much difference but if you get 80% or better you don't have to get audited every year. We will see but I'm a bit upset I must say. I guess we will just have to wait until Friday at least were are going out so can drown our sorrows.
Just agreed to spy on manager husband on the train tomorrow. Mad and I'm not sure I really should do it. TallGirl the spy that's a new job description isn't it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

I am a great believer in not getting stressed about something that you have no control over. You cannot control the score you are given any more. It is done. Sounds trite, but please try not to get too upset. Remember, this is an opportunity to improve. And that's hard to do when you don't know where you have gone wrong. The auditor is helping you with a process of improvement. It not personal.
I have to be audited annually, Lexcel just expects it. There are good points, in that you are always operating to the best of your ability, no chance to get complacent and for standards to drop. Plus, when it happens annually, you can lose your fear of audits. You see them for what they are. A process.
Keep smiling.
