Came across your diary again, having recently returned to MSE. I haven't caught up yet, but you've clearly been going through some tough times, so sending hugs and a huge, virtual G&T (feel free to exchange it for a drink of your choice).

Hi Catshark and Bugslet thanks for popping by can't wait for Saturday but first a Friday to get through.

Residential was really good learned a lot and got to know the others much better which is useful for sharing things and saves work.

Manager emailed yesterday so pretty sure something has kicked off with my trainee receptionists she has to go she's too much hassle. She is a volunteer but she twists things and winds everyone else up.

Roof still not fixed now apprently it can't be covered under home cover as there is no leak. Well if the had been a leak would I have let them wait two weeks to come out.

Car insurance renewed and old one cancelled. Need to send proof of no claims bonus. Saved £100 on the renewal and £20 cashback.

Ordered my currency to be picked up at the airport no idea if I'm taking enough but can use cards.

Not even looked at packing nor found my summer clothes but hopefully tomorrow before I leave for the airport at 5pm it will all be done.

Empathise with the roof problem! We gave some very wet plaster and I think gravity is going to do its thing. Roofer supposed to be coming out next week, so fingers crossed!

Wow it's been a while where do I start, well roof fixed today £225 so not worth claiming on insurance in the end.

Trip to Oman was brilliant lovely to see my friend chill out, shop and sun bathe swim etc.

Got a load of clothes in the sale Monsoon skirts 75% off can never find 14 or 16's in the sale her but out there all of it seems to be normal sizes in the sale as the are quite small.

Also got Mango shirt, sweaters suit jacket and Zara tops spent about £150 but also got two tailor made pjs for £30 (bottoms only) and much more. Spent in total about £500 but worth it.

Dh seems to have behaved himself he thought I was coming in 3 hours earlier and didn't wait for me but to be fair I hav not given him my flight time.

Work busy but ok getting a bit stressed out about the supervisor part of my job I am not good at and one paid staff had resigned a small part time job 3 hours a week which I really done want to do its 5pm to 8pm. Anyway enough waffle will get back soon need to get back to my studies also got case study to do for course next week as well as Uni course.

Thanks yes it was good to have a relaxing break really needed it. Work has been manic but managed this week didn't loose my cool and I had 6 new computers installed and manager away two days so that's good. Quick drink with two volunteers yesterday then MS which was nice then glass of wine at home feel a bit today really silly but I didn't have any dinner.

Just spent the morning cleaning the greenhouse and sowing some seeds mainly flowers and veg indoors and some beans and peas in the green house. I don't think I am too early this year as I now have a green house to put it all in when it gets bigger.

    Here are some pictures.

We got loads on Spring flowers out the front I have trimmed the hazel so it looks much better.

Got to get my study notes typed up and submitted so I can get ahead of myself for next weeks task would just rather mess around with photos from Oman.

Hope you have sunshine where ever you are today.

Welcome back TallGirl. Great to hear you had a fabulous holiday in Oman and you are rested, relaxed, if not a few quid lighter. And great news that everything appears to be going well on the home front apart from the roof.

You know Spring is coming when the daffodils and snowdrops are out. The sight of them just gives you a really warm, positive feeling. They symbolise all the great possibilities for the year ahead.

Here's to you, in the hope that your dreams come true and that 2014 is your year.

You have a lovely greenhouse TG :) well done on getting seeds started now. Your daffies are further along than ours atm but I am looking forward to bringing a bunch or two indoors when they start to bloom.

Thanks Smlsave good luck with the baby and good luck with the job situation. Yes things are going in the right direction. Course in Manchester was brilliant long way and I'm right now still at the airport but worth it. Will help a lot with work. Got the selection of files they want to audit two are my case worker and manager not happy with them but I feel she is being harsh however she has more experience than me. Felt crap when I left Wednesday lunchtime to meet with my old manager, had a lovely posh three hour lunch and she saw my house for the first time. Best of all she is paying for me to go on a conference in May which means I can catch up with a load of people I used to deal with in my old job plus some ex colleagues some which I could live without but one or two I haven't seen for a year.

Will be fab as I can also pick up my certificate for my Uni course if I pass. Will have to do some study time this weekend. Also need to read more stuff from this course.

Anyway need to sign off soon as flight in 30 min will be home about 10pm tonight but tomorrow is Friday and were out for cocktails. All four friends incl manager so quite look forward to it.
