I married mine - but I did change jobs after that
Just got in after storing my friends facial out we are meeting later for dinner. Facial was 25% off so thats a £10 towards dinner nice one.
The sky box seems to have died and DH is not happy I'm hiding on the patio I cannot be bothered to get involved.
10 min later I'm back phoned sky pressed remote control and it worked so typical.
God I have had a crap day today so busy at work and having to take time off tomorrow for my naughty driver course but didn't want to tell manager. She was in a bad mood today I'm sure she thinks I have got an interview elsewhere. Everything just went wrong and most are getting stressed about new system. Even got one of the supervisor volunteers in hospital she has done far too much late but she has been brilliant.
Cannot wait to go meet my friend later.
Foster635 thanks for popping in I suppose I should be pleased about the pay rise as I wasn't expecting it. It was vice of them but I do work really hard. Today I have made mistakes which is annoying and know they are my fault. Hopefully tomorrow will be betterSave £12k in 25 No 49

Not too bad last night friend has no money and I mean it so I paid for dinner drinks but it was a weatherspoons. Total bill £30 good price for a girlie evening with best friend.
I hope my naughty driver course finishes a. Bit early or on time as I must be back at work for 1pm and traffic can be really bad. I didn't tell my manager what I'm doing this morning and thinking back I think she thinks I have got an interview. Already mentioned this I know but today I must sort my issue with the camping trip out. Will update later wish me luckSave £12k in 25 No 49

Spot on Tahlullah thanks for popping in I've got Adviceline next week
Spending yesterday £2 to get out of Carpark after driver course which was fine and at least my insurance won't go up. I actually learned quite a bit and the fine is no longer £60 it's £100.
Work was pants staff meeting and one if the volunteers felt I had been unsupportive another lept to my defence which was nice. Manager decided we were going home early so had to chuck out it volunteer but feel kind of ready for next week. Manager also mentioned the camping trip I am now going so need to start sorting that out. Not sure it's a great idea work wise as I have always kept business and pleasure separately.
Not camped since 1989 but loved it before then and we are going in a classic campervan.
Other spend yesterday £4 on top of £28 I will get back for MS.
Today £4 on magazine for volunteer in hospital, £10 on breakfast, £32 on shopping DH cheque hasn't cleared but to be fair he does usually pay all the shopping. Need to write up MS papers not been delivered they are a bit late this morning :eek:Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hello and welcome back to you too, nice to have you around Gillybean.
Spending continues and bad habits have crept in. The old casino was luring me in although I have limited my deposits and closed most. Managed to win £130 and have withdrawn so not tempted to play more.
Then saw long tall sally had free delivery and 15% off, got a stripy shirt, stripe dress and two long sleeved jumpers. All go with things I already own but still £110 later when I'm this broke is not good. Still my excuse is am now a manager so need to dress accordingly. I am not allowed jeans at work.
Promise I won't spent anymore today :ASave £12k in 25 No 49

Hi Tallgirl, just thought I would pop in and say that I don't think that being friends with your manager is a problem....I have had a number of staff over the years who have become really good mates
I have never found it an issue as we have kept work and personal distinctly separate, its just a matter of respect and keeping the relationship appropriate when you are at work... I even had to fire someone who had become one of my best friends once, it never caused us any issues though as our professional and personal lives were very well delineated from the start!!;)
Sorry to hear that your dh is going through such a rough time...I really hope that he finds other ways to indulge his grief soon before the alcohol does him long term damage

Thank you so much icontinuetodream that is so reassuring to know. I really want us to become friends but my manager can be quite week and has been bullied at work before so really don't want to risk anything e.g. I would have to take advantage of that as I am very much aware I can be quite bossy myself.
I need to talk to her about it and I think I will just say what happens outside work shouldn't come into a work environment. I have mostly has manager who worked remotely from me and I must admit in my last job she was 200 miles away and although they tried for us to be a team it was very much a sales invironment with targets etc so that was never going to happen. I also the odd one out of a team of three so it got so bad I would never let go if we were in a social settin e.g get drunk. Also I never made any effort to go to HQ for any other reason than work despite getting invited to personal do's etc.
I am really looking forward to us going on this trip and I am sure we will be fine. Still not visited my volunteer in hospital plan on playing golf at midday then nip down and see her unless the others call and say when they are gong.

Lovely NSD so far played golf which was very warm and just done some banking. Transferred the balances from my two credit cards to Barclays 20 month interest free deal cost £25 for £920 worth so I will pay that off at £100 a month now.
Borrowed £200 from joint account until payday Wednesday, will try and be good next months. When DH get his inheritance I am clearing all debts.
Just about to head out to visit my volunteer in hospital cannot get hold of the other one so hopefully I can just turn up I know which ward she is on and I am sure her family won't mind her daughter is lovely.

Volunteer was so touched I visited her I spent an hour and half with her and its flew past she is so lovely. To be honest there are so many lovely people there I am lucky.
Our new phone system went ok today didn't get a call in the first to but got one in the second go. People seems up for it apart from the paid supervisor. They re really struggling and then hacked another volunteer off and now they don't want to come in for the next month so sad really. IT volunteer turned up and I had to really multitask to answer everyones questions and help those who needed it. Hectic got told to have a break by manager. Managed to smooth some stuff out from last week but some stuff got worse.
Sorted out the forthcoming trip with manager and new friend, feel slightly better out it s s manager has agreed not to talk about work whilst away. I think it will be ok but time will tell. If it doesn't work out we will have to tackle it we are all grownups.
Dinner out tonight missed gym so that was crap really but didn't want to rogue with DH. Also £1 on a chocolate bar really needed it at work today.
Going to watch great British bake off DH is in bed far too early but hey ho.Save £12k in 25 No 49
