once or twice a week depending on what i've put out
sometimes it can be 3 times a week if i've put suet pellets out0 -
Ours are topped up every morning. We have two hanging seed containers and one for fat balls. They are not usually emptied.0

I only have a separate feeder during hard frosts. All year round the wild folk help themselves from the duck and hen feed. Mr Robin is now so tame, he followed me into the house to pick up some grains I had dropped! I should give him a name, lol.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

I refill sunflower heart feeders, suet pellets and peanuts every two days, fat ball feeders twice a week, niger seed and seed mix once a week. I put a few mealworms on the bird table each morning and hope the small birds beat the magpies to them. I do this before letting the hens out as the smallest one flies out over their netting if she sees me with mealworms, they get a couple each anyway but stolen worms taste best!0

Wow any food I put out now is being cleared up fast, not that surprising really.
Did see a Robin feed from a suet block feeder with some success. Never seen one feed off the ground before. He usually hoovers up the crumbs underneath.0 -
Managed to catch a glimpse of my lovely red squirrel today - I haven't seen it for ages and thought it had been killed. And then I rationalised that I'm not at the window all day every day and it's more likely that I'm just now around at the right time - and there it was today. On the ground and gathering up the scattered sunflower seeds I had left for the ground feeders. Not sure if it was eating the mealworms or not.
It's more a muddy brown today but that probably because of the heavy rain we're having. Cheered me up no end though!0 -
My Reed Buntings are back and the Robin. Also, not identified yet, a slim smooth blue coloured bird, size and shape of a linnet.0

We are getting more and more different birds on our suburban garden feeder this week our first Woodpecker and today a Jay, its exciting to get 'other' birds than the usual tits, sparrows and blooming parrots which OH chases off with hose as they are gluttons and clean out the peanuts in a couple of hours. The squirrels haven't figured out how to get over the large plastic collar yet although I did see one try to leap from the garage roof lol, he didn't make it.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
