Dating - what a pile of poo

good news first - I got a payrise woohoo! It amounts to £40 per month, not a fortune but better than a smack in the face!

Credit card pot is still standing at £114.43 + £49.03 affiliate payout + this months payrise £40 + £9.04 topcashback = £212.50 - £76.50 to find by wednesday, or I'll have to take it out of my my emergency pot, which is not what it's supposed to be for. Actually considering non of my ebay stuff sold, nor my phone or picture then I'm quite pleased with that

Bad news is what food we've wasted this week. I bought a posh curry kit and made a big biryani which was rubbish, all mushy on the bottom and uncooked rice on the top. I reckon it cost me £12 all in all with the kit and ingredients, I would have been better of with a takeaway. I have complained and they aid they'll send me a replacement, which I don't really want as I'll not be bothering again. ALso did some batch cooking and made a load of lasagne, gave one to DD to take home and they never ate it - waste I hate it!!

To stay in budget I must not spend more than £49.56 before next Wednesday - I CAN do this :T

My garden has finally been done, I wish I'd spent the money last year now actually. I must have left all the weeds and pulled up all the plants when I was trying to sort it last year :rotfl:
Now I can see what are plants and there's woodchippings down, it's going to make it loads easier to look after, and it looks so much better, a stress of my mind, it was £60 well spent. there appears to be lots of strawberries growing, I do hope they're fruitful yum.

He's also made a start on the drive at my rented house where my daughter lives. But all he's done is just dug it all up and now left it as it's raining - what a mess, now I know why he was cheap!!

By a rough calculation I've only paid £259 off my debts this month :(. I really must try harder next month. I am just going to give my self 1 target and that's to get rid of all that stuff that's been hanging around not selling, if I can't get something for it then I will donate it to charity by the end of May and get it out of the way. Anything I do get will go towards the debt.

I'm away to clean out the fridge, stock take the freezer and do a meal plan for next week.

Have a great weekend all, and keep on with the debt busting, no slacking (like me :rotfl:) xx

It sounds like you're still doing well SL. We all have times where we're maybe not doing quite as well as we'd like with the debt busting, but we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and come back stronger than ever! You only fail when you stop trying, as they say, or something like that! That's what I keep saying to myself anyway and I've had a rubbish month! :D

You have a lovely weekend too! :)
  • You may not be clearing much debt but you are preserving or enhancing the value of your assets. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Goodness there is a God, postie's just been and bought me a cheque from DVLA for £78.73 my car tax rebate which pays the shortfall off the food intolerance test that I put on my credit card with £2.23 left over. I wonder if I can afford a skinny latte (decaff soya!!) :rotfl:

I had completely forgotten I'd sent off for a rebate.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I am starting feel a lot more positive after rubbish month, and welcome to my diary financialdisease

Chardonnay, May is our month, it'll be faberoonie :j

£9.35 left in my budget until the end of tomorrow, I don't need to buy anything but I am spending some time with DD later, so there's still time for it all to go horribly wrong :(
