Hi Skinnylatte! Well done on the frugality at the garage - very pound counts!
Sorry to hear your date was boring last night. I loved your excuse about the milk though! In future could it be worth meeting any dates just for an hour or something? If you then did hit it off, you could always extend the date, or arrange a longer date the next time? I have done internet dating in the past and there is nothing worse than having to sit there with a complete stranger that you are not attracted to or have anything in common with and try to make conversation for a whole evening! Oh I remember it well and I know I made excuses too, but mine mostly resolved around babysitting as my daughter was only young then!
Brilliant news about your daughter! She must be doing so well and it must be such a weight off your mind. £150 a month is a lot of money too, so that will make a big difference to your finances. My daughter just finished her CBT just over a week ago and it was great to see the charts etc which showed the progress she'd made.
Hope that your daughter continues to go from strength to strength!
Good news about being able to move back into your house and all be a family again!Hope you've had a lovely day today and managed to get out there in the sunshine!

I knew it was too soon to be so optimistic. DD went into complete melt down mode tonight, she kept bashing her head on the door leaving a big bruise on her head and a hole in the door, broke things and called me all the vile names she could think of. Threw the phone at me and I now have a sore and bruised ankle.
Then she is so full of remorse it's untrue. This used to be almost daily, now it only happens every few months.
I think coming out of therapy, which she's been in and out of for years combined with me going away this week is the cause.
We went for a long drive afterwards and I said I was angry and hurt, she said she was angry, sad and ashamed.
I tell her I understand that she has emotions that sometimes she can't deal with, but the behavior is unacceptable.
I feel very sad and emotional tonightPay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Don't be sad. You've supported your daughter from when outbursts were daily to now being one off events periodically. You're being a great mum and helping her build the resilience she will need later. Sorry to hear about DD Skinny! My daughter used to have the occasional meltdown and I know how very distressing and emotionally draining they can be. It must have been so hard coping with that daily, and as has been said, you have been a great mum to support her through that. The fact that it is now only every few months shows how far she's come, but it's still really hard for you and my heart goes out to you.
I hope things settle down for you again soon, you're doing so well! x0 -

Thank you. The events of last week end seem far away now. I've been working away all week, and have stayed in a lovely hotel, returning home with lots of hotel freebies!
I saw DD for a while tonight and we were fine. She asked for some new shoes for work,, but when she showed me the ones she was wearing, bless, they had holes so big in the bottom you could see at least an inch of sock. So shoe shopping tomorrow.
This week I've had a payout of £57 from Amazon affiliate income, and £78 from topcashback, including the missing match.com payment, so that's all going straight of the Halifax CC as that interest free period ends in September.
I stopped by the Company Shop today, and spent £48 but picked up loads of stuff, including 6 jars of Tesc@ finest passatta for £2. I was working across the pond this week and brought home a suitcase full of aunt jemima's pancake mix and pancake syrup, love the stuff, guess what's for breakfast yum.
And finally my big news is that the leasing agreement for my new car has been accepted :T so exited :j.
The new car will cost £294 per month, and that includes full maintenance, servicing, tyres, tax etc. All I have to pay for is insurance and fuel, and has a combined mpg of 78!!. Also they are going to give me £1500 for my old car.
Yes it's a lot of money every month, but I can run it through my business so it's tax efficient, it's peace of mind, as the never ending repairs and maintenance on my current car was a worry, and I spend a great deal of time driving. I've thought about it a lot and it makes sense.
This weekend I'm going to chill out, shoe shop with DD and watch DS play footie, have coffee with my pal and do the usual chores, meal plan, clean wash.
Have a great weekend every-onePay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Just had to hot-foot over with the brill news on the new car :T One less worry on reliability and unforeseen bills. Yes its a cost, but you know where you are with it.
Good to read things are on a much better footing with DD. Hope the shoe shopping isn't too expensive.
That's a lovely little addition to the debt-busting with those payouts, excellent stuff :T
Gotta love hotel freebies and nom nom nom, we'll all be round for brekkie then :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Gosh it's been 9 days since I last posted, I seem to be hemorrhaging money right now, DD shoes were £65, then DS needed new trainers at £57. I paid for DD ticket to Leeds fest £217, although I've said that's her holiday this year and not to expect anything else.
I seem to be hoarding food again, and I've renewed the mobile phone contracts, it's so expensive I'm ashamed to tell you how much, that does go thorough my business though and not out of my salary, so tax and VAT deductible.
BUT, I gave in to DS since sky sports & movies has gone, and subscribed to Netflicks
Mothers day was quiet DS went to play golf with his dad, although I did get brekkie in bed first, and he gave me vouchers as a gift, tidy the living room, make me a hot chocolate and a meal, 3 of each. DD rolled in around 5pm after staying out all night doing god knows what, then printed a home made card of the computer. Obviously my kids are more frugal and resourceful than me :rotfl:
In a mission to eat more healthily a got a George Foreman grill off FB for £12 (ta MIT:)) and we had tandoori chicken and bulgar wheat, it was yum and the kids ate it all up too.
This week I need to set some goals, I'm slacking badly
1. Review all of Marches expenses, will do that tomorrow
2. Ring up AA as they've taken my subscription out, even tho I rang and said not to as my new car comes with breakdown cover
3. Do inventory of the freezer and cupboards, and meal plan, I have far to much food in
4. Do a sweep of bank accounts and pay off some more CC. Yes I do have some left over, wow, 2 bank accounts in credit at the end of the month :T
Did I tell you I was getting a new car :rotfl:hopefully tomorrow !!Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022
