My HA kitchen just after they finished installing it, basic but serviceable I guess... Over futile odds Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
 And now the final frame

I hate my single oven and the fact that it's low down- only being able to cook one thing at a time is so frustrating :-/ definitely something ill be changing soon.0

I loathe my kitchen, it's so small, if the oven door and the dishwasher doors are open they touch!
I absolutely detest how dark it is, due to the position of the house and the location of the kitchen it gets very little natural light, even on the brightest days I have to have the light on to see what I'm doing.
I've now way of improving it either, I'm in a terrace, so with shared access to the rear, so I can't build all the way across the back, I would have to use the old outside toilet/coal shed, so it would still be long and narrow.
Knocking through isn't an option due to the layout of the downstairs.
I do like my 5 ring hob, but that's about it.Proud to be dealing with my debts

 7. Hate the floor tiles - big brown tiles with a photo of some woodgrain on each. Why didn't they just install a wooden floor?
 .
Because wooden floors get scuffed and damaged easily, and they aren't good in areas that could get wet. I'm tempted by them (but also tempted by others too).Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

Wow thanks everyone. I've written down the best must have/must avoid ideas and the list is getting rather long!0

I love my quooker (constant boiling water), I love the glass splash backs, Corian work tops and Aga range cooker. Perfect!
I waited long enough for it all!0

            My kitchen must haves are:
 Integrated dishwasher
Double oven (which I currently don't have)
1 1/2 sink, I rarely wash up but when I do, I need somewhere to pour the old coffee before I wash the mug.
A place for the kitchen bin, that is my biggest gripe about kitchen designers, they rarely think about the stand alone bin (built in ones are a no no, IMO).
A handle on the oven door that can be used to put the tea towel, mine doesn't, and the tea towel ends up on the worktop. Very annoying.0

I've been having my kitchen updated over the past few days so I'm quite fond of it at the moment!
I dislike the fact it is 10 feet square and has 3 doors leading from it (under stairs, actual stairs and living room).
I don't like the artex ceiling between the beams.
I like my ancient double oven.
I like the fact I managed to get Howden's base cabinets from Ebay for less than £50 for the lot (brand new).
I like that I got £300 of Howden's work surface for £50 and have half of that outside that I can re-sell on Ebay.
 Sink was £10 on Ebay.
Like the new plastering. Better still when it is completely dry!
Feeling quite smug I managed to get all the bits, the plastering done and the whole lot fitted for less than £900.
Oh, I don't like my fridge that keeps freezing at the back so it doesn't drain properly so the water runs out and pools on my floor.0

I hate the fact that there are 4 doors in my kitchen: Although it's a big room we really didn't have many options when we had it refitted and there was no way we could get an island unit in safely.
I like the 2 fridges, one under-worktop and a tall fridge freezer - means I have loads of food and drinks storage space. And I love my Cornish Blue bits and pieces and the matching blind.0
