Postbox outside the post office is fine - you don't need to go inside to post it.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

The Shackleton stamps are quite boring :-)
More interesting (and useful to me) than 4 large 1st Red every month.
I need to think of something new here...

Yes I am getting quite a collection of stamps that I will never use. Do other panellists sell them ( on eBay?).

I work for a charity so use them for their post. I also just use the large letter stamps in place of ordinary ones if they're building up a bit. Doesn't seem worth selling them.

They sell quite well on eBay - I normally do 3 or 4 books at a time starting at 99p and get close to face value for them

Had a "last posting pack" letter on its own today with Shackleton, 1st and 1L stamps after receiving my actual last posting pack with all listed weeks ago. Maybe as an apology for sending me another 1 posting pack after my stint had ended. :D

Me too. The worst sale price I've had is about £2.90 and usually £3.40 or so. I then use those funds to buy standard 1st or 2nd NVI stamps for competitioning or older commemoratives to use on birthday cards - paying no more than 2/3 face value.
I need to think of something new here...

Was the item a Jiffy, a CD/DVD box, a Cube or similar that wouldn't go through your letterbox, and they left is at your neighbour because you were out ? (Or didn't hear the doorbell)

No it was just an ordinary envelope. Our post is a nightmare to be honest, we always get mis delivered items and items are always 'going missing'. I have had neighbours bank cards, cheque books etc in the past! It was one of the reasons I wanted to do this trial
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!

Hi all. I found this thread a few weeks ago and thought I'd give the survey a go. I got accepted and received my first pack today.

One of the items I've to send is a jiffy bag which will fit into a post box but the schedule says 'Post Office'. I've checked the training booklet and this isn't mentioned but I presume it means a post box at a post office?

Btw I was surprised to get my stamps incentive up front. When do you ever get paid before doing the work!

True, but training lasts 6-7 weeks and be warned you may get nothing else unless you are then accepted onto the full panel. My area was oversubscribed so I was put on hold for 2 years, then had to do the training all over again. >: Seven weeks for a couple of books of stamps only works out at two stamps per week, or put another way, 1 stamp per preparing, addressing, posting and recording each item, as well as studying the guidelines! Thankfully I am now on the main panel. :rotfl::rotfl:
