Yes, so have I had stamps attached to a cube but in this instance though, it should have been an APL, as that is what was stated on the R number label.

Sorry I didnt realise that the insert also said APL...more reason to query it with TNS.....

I often find the jiffy bags are incorrectly sent. Recently I have received two and were both flat packed. I could have mentioned it to TNS but as we all know no one likes a creep.

I'ts not "creeping " on anyone when you go back to TNS and notify them of an item that is clearly not as described as is the case with the cube item.

If the item has been assembled wrongly then the sender may need retraining, and if they have been issued with vouchers to cover the cost of postage but have chosen to potentially "reuse" a previous stamp...thats certainly something that needs clarification.

Thers always been a long running debate over how packed a jiffy bag should be and whether the paper should be inserted in the cardboard sleeve etc etc....but when someone sends an item in the way that the OP has reported and shown evidence of that just demonstrates a complete disregard to the test items they are being trusted to send.

What TNS should do is arrange on occasions for these items to be posted to them. That way TNS can see for themselves whether further training is required.

Of course it may be some people do not really care as long as they receive their incentive.

It should have had an APL, so there wasn't much right about this! I expect the sender was able to get it into a post box rather than posting it at the PO, and they will get their reimbursement for it! I am tempted to report it to TNS but would feel like a school snitch if I did!

    You have to report it.

As an item of mail it has gone through the postal system and handled by RM as an entirely different package type than expected by TNS.

It looks like it would have been treated as a large letter and not a parcel. Much like flat as a pancake Jiffy bags (not over 1" thick) it totally screws up all the statistical information that TNS are trying to gather.

    Even you receiving it.
I'm guessing it came through your letter box whereas IF it had been a Cube then the postman would have had to knock or ring to hand it over to someone - presuming you were at home at the time.
Otherwise it could easily have gone back to the sorting office and you would have been left with the attempted delivery red card, then needing to collect it yourself or organise a re-delivery in a day or two.
That would not only have changed the date you received it but how.

As for the APL - I know you can send Cubes without an APL ..

... it's very ODD that the value is correct for a 1st class Cube - £3.30

It did make me smile though :)
There are some morons around

Let TNS know, they can remove it from their statistics if they want to, just like I understand they did with well over a dozen Jiffy bags that I reported as incorrectly handled by RM due to being assembled wrong.

So did I. I'm not due to finish for another six months

The Shackleton stamps are quite boring :-)
  • Hi all. I found this thread a few weeks ago and thought I'd give the survey a go. I got accepted and received my first pack today.

One of the items I've to send is a jiffy bag which will fit into a post box but the schedule says 'Post Office'. I've checked the training booklet and this isn't mentioned but I presume it means a post box at a post office?

Btw I was surprised to get my stamps incentive up front. When do you ever get paid before doing the work!
