I have also been invited to take part in the unadressed
mail fron 17th october and not sure what to expect.
Is it only unadressed mail delivered by royal mail they
want to know about, or any other leaflets etc that come
through the door too, as i seem to get quite a bit of it
each week as it is now, but was not sure if they only
want to know what the postie brings
Thanks for all the posts on this very helpful thread

Its everything that is unaddressed, so leaflets, free newspapers, free samples etc but you will get instructions when you start. There is also a section in the news and features section on the survey page that gives more info.

Thanks aninymoose for your helpful post, it sounds
complicated at first then it all comes together and
i wonder what I was bothering about
I was the same with the mail surveys but after 6 months
its a bit of a doddle really, apart from the errors they make
    sometimes

Well this week I've recieved a couple more items where someone has wrote the posting day and time on the packet

I've often thought that when recording received items it would be nice if there was some sort of additional comments box, so anything like the above could be recorded alongside the standard info they ask for.

Hi i am getting more and more post with posting details on them - its so annoying that panelists cant use a little common sense. I would also like to see an additional comments box so i could let them know when such details are on the packages

I had this on 3 or 4 occasions in 1 week so I phoned and complained. The guy took the R number and said he would sort it. This was some time ago and I've not been taken off so don't let that worry you
  • I got 2 emails today. One asking me if I would like to sign up for the next unaddressed mail survey (oct to nov one that others have posted about), then a second email a few hours later asking me to definitively confirm via email that i didn't receive any unaddressed mail the first week. This email was very badly written though, with conflicting info, so hopefully I have got the gist and answered appropriately! For instance, it said please confirm you received no unaddressed mail for week commencing 2nd September, then further down the email it says 9th not 2nd (9th would be correct, as I didn't start until the 9th). I DID receive unaddressed mail that week (entered on website and sent off in postal bag), but i assume they are just referring to the unaddressed mail specific items listed on the website, as i didn't receive any of those.

Anyway, I'm going to do the next unaddressed mail survey - I wonder if I'm going to be invited every month - do they have them every month or do they want me to do another one because some items didn't arrive and they want to monitor a bit longer? Do you think i'll ever get invited to join the panel properly or since it was TNS who just randomly invited me, that this is it?

just looked at posting plan for week after next, and one of the entries for Posting type says "Response Services". Just curious as to what it is.
