  • I think I have them all :rotfl: I now have 8 (3 logged and 5 awaiting stock check) Only have 2 postings next week. This will be the first time I have had to send any from stock.

I spoke too soon. Checked my account today and I have to return 5 of them.

I have had a TNS email today to ask for my participation in an unaddressed mail survey beginning on 21st Oct till 24th Nov. I have confirmed my participation and will see what I have to do from there.

What does it involve exactly? Do you have to send or receive mail, or both?

It's basically logging any mail that isn't specifically addressed to anyone in the house. So leaflets, post addressed to the householder, and junk mail.
You just have to say the amount you receive each day or week and look out for specific items so they can check the postie is delivering the extras properly. Some people are being asked to hang onto the mail and send it back to them, I haven't had to do that as yet. It's pretty straightforward and only takes couple of minutes a day. Money for old rope really.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I never had to send it back before this last one. Now you get stickers to attach to each piece of mail and an envelope to send them back weekly.. A little more work, but not a lot and worth it for the voucher..

I usually receive stamps in advance. I have my last 2 weeks packets 30 sept - 4 oct & 7 oct - 11oct but neither has stamps in them.
Has anyone had their October initiative yet?
I would ask them where they are but I cant log in.

Well this week I've recieved a couple more items where someone has wrote the posting day and time on the packet and I've had someone put the wrong label on the piece of paper that goes inside the letters - instead of the R number label it was the label that says 'Please affix adjacent label', but luckily it has the R number on anyway.

And yesterday I got an item which had a sarcastic note written next to the address by someone from Royal Mail pointing out to his colleagues that the sorting office the item had been sent to was clearly not the one it was supposed to go to. Suffice to say that before it got to me, the letter appears to have ended up at the wrong end of the country. The address was correct, so someone at Royal Mail must've been having a bad day!!!

I've often thought that when recording received items it would be nice if there was some sort of additional comments box, so anything like the above could be recorded alongside the standard info they ask for.
