Good Afternoon All,
Only recently back on the panel, recd cube via the neighbour, it contained 1 x foam , 1x elastic band 1 x tin foil envelope for returning smarts & 2 x smarts.:mad::mad::mad:

Should it have stamps on it or a post office label ?
    Appreciate any replies.:D:D:D

Flippin heck - that has got to be the worst one yet. Surely they need to introduce some kind of aptitude test for prospective panelists.

They didn't manage to fit the kitchen sink in then!!

I count myself lucky I've yet to receive anything so confusing. Bad luck for you to receive that lot in your early days. Trial of fire!

You don't get the voucher for the dvd/cd box as it should fit into a postbox. Anything larger than that is too big to do so and has to be handed over the counter at a post office, hence the £2 voucher for the inconvenience.

I started back on the pAnel last week a month after finishing up the previous spell.

Last week I recieved my posting pack of envelopes and 4 smarts to include in the items to be posted.

These smarts were shown against the relevant item on the online posting schedule but were not added to my smart account.

I put them in the relvant items as requested and was asked to confirm that I had done so when updating the dialy posting.

I emailed TNS to tell them. They replied that they had noted it.

On Friday I then recieved a envelope containg two smarts , which had been noted on my smart account on Thursdy night but one of them was noted to be returned to THS.

Today I received next week's posting pack and again it also contains the smarts I have to enclose with the items (as shown on the online posting schedule) although I hold 3 that I have received in from other panellists which have been ignored.

They are not yet shown in my smart account but I realise they should/could be added aftr 10pm tonight.

Previously the smarts were either chosen from what I held or were sent separately.

Is this a new way of working?

Also lat time I always had 5-7 items to post but this week it was 4 and next week only 2- not that I am complaining.

This week I have only got 3 to post and next week only one. I have not received any items from panellists this week. :o

Received my Nov stamps this morning.

A query for you all .... I am getting several items that state "post office" as posting method. My local PO does not have a post box, either inside or out, so all items need to be handed over the counter so I have been posting these at the post box down the road as it looks a bit strange queuing to hand a pre-stamped letter over the counter. I am certainly not going to drive across town to the next PO. Does this seem OK ?

I'll have a go at answering this question...although my answer usually differs from that given by other panelists..

Bearing in mind that the question is posed on the faq of the website my answer would be use a different post office.
you have already indicated that you are reluctant to do this and if you have had no problems or queries after logging it as items posted in a post box rather than a post office there is possibly no reason for you to change your method of posting....and taking everything into account including time and the incentives received I can probably understand your decision not to travel to the nearest postoffice with an outside box
I guess its all down to how diligently you as a panelist follow the instruction of the panel...everone has a different threshold as to where there draw the line at following an instruction.

I am sure that many other panelists will now come along and also say that they do similar as their PO doesnt have a box ...but it is my belief that the panel is set up to allow the monitoring of post through various portals and that measurment would be reduced significantly if every panelist only posted all their post in one box

I think its evenly split between post boxes and post offices so you will find that the printed instuctions and website online system wont change to reflect that you are posting all you items in a postbox....although you must be honest in your logging about where an item was posted from and make sure it is only posted within your designated postal code area..failure to do this will result in queries being raised.
I guess you wont be thrown off the panel for your actions as its only a direction that that is the preferred option!

    Hope that all makes sense!

Do I use the PostBox inside or outside the Post Office?

You can post your items in the PostBox outside the Post Office, which is our preferred option.

As usual their FAQs never answer real world questions ;)

Does not help that they moved the post office but failed to move the post box.

Quite! Unless I have to hand it over the counter I use the box outside our nearest "post office" - which was closed down several years ago and is now a regular house. The post box identification code still lists it as a post office, and when I emailed to ask if this was okay I was told that "as long as you record where you post an item, regardless of the instruction, it will be okay." I always bear this in mind whenever I need to post something, and as such, if it's raining or I'm pushed for time, and it's supposed to go to the "post office" box, then I just bung it in the nearest box and tell them that.

In other news, I was just entering details for a magazine I received last week, and getting some unusual questions. There was a question where it said the item should have contained a smart and to check, though they never asked if it had contained a smart (and it doesn't, obviously, because it's a magazine), though they let me just 'next' past it. Only to then move to a question asking if it was delivered in 1st or 2nd post... I have no idea what they mean by that... Are they asking if it was 1st or 2nd class, or asking if the postie came straight to my door or did the round as normal or what? Thankfully there was a 'don't know' option there. TNS never fail to confuse the issue.
