Recently joined the posting panel, passed my training :j and am now on the "real" panel.
Anyway, just wondering if people have methods for remembering what day to post stuff. Just now i have post-its on the envelopes with the day for posting but do other people have a better system? Sorry if this has been discussed, I have searched but didn't come up with anything.
I put the printed posting schedule with the items to be posted on the shelf by the front door and then check the schedule each day for if there is anything to be posted.0 -
Not on the panel at present, but do similar to saxonrosecliffe.
Keep all the letters and packets underneath the paper schedule, and each morning place the item to be posted near the door.
Good luck0 -
I do similar.
I put the items , in day order, in a plastic file with the posting schedule on top. The file is see through so I can read the schedule through the plastic.
Each night I check if anything needs posted the next day and if there is I take it out and put it on the table where we put anything for posting etc.0 -
I use a concertina file for my "bring forward" system. All sorts of things, including the schedule and items to be posted (other than the cubes!) go in that. It is checked daily and items to be posted are added to my hand/shopping bag to be taken out.0

Is it just a coincidence that "post it" notes are being used to remind panelists to "post it" ? :rotfl:
IMO I don't think post its are such a good idea because you always get the occasional panelist who forgets to remove it before posting.
An alternative method could be as follows:
When you prepare your items for posting (for the coming week), leave the envelopes unsealed but make sure they are packed securely (e.g. SMART is secured inside the R number sheet before putting in a small white envelope so that it cannot accidentally fall out).
Write the details of the posting day and the associated SMART on the inside of the envelope. Ensure you don't press down too hard, or label it in any way in which your markings would be visible once the envelope is sealed.
Each day, check through your items.
If an item needs posting, do a quick double check to make sure everything that needs to be in the envelope is still in there. Seal the envelope and proceed to post the item.0 -

I just prepare the envelopes, put them in order on the mantelpiece, then stick a reminder on my phone to prompt me each morning which ones for that day and where they need to go.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
With the ONE item a week I have been getting I can do it from memory !!0

I've used post it notes, providing I always take them off before leaving the house. Writing on the envelopes drives me mad, received so many items with days, times, posting classes etc. written on them...0

I'm coming to the end of my survey stint, and in the TNS letter it asks me to let them know if I'm interested in the correctly delivered survey.
I've not done this one before, can anyone tell me what it's like/incentives please?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

you record how many pieces of post you receive for a period of 2 weeks, log it on the website & record any doorstepped and incorrectly delivered items (& give the addresses of the incorrectly delivered ones)
