I finaly recieved a letter yesterday about the PIP application I made last year. They have accepted it at the standard rate between 5/7/13 - 17 / 10 / 16. When I will be able to claim again if I want to 14 weeks before termination. I also get a backdated payment which was put in the bank today will come in very handy right now as this is all the income I have!
Now to see what else I am entitled too!
The releif is huge. Thanks to all who have supported me thus far it is much appreciated :beer:Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

Excellent news ::T0 -
It's really uplifting hearing about claims being awarded! For as much as it was comforting to know that others have been in the same boat with regard to delays it's even better to know that awards are being made.0

Hi
I have been awarded PIP and I work part time. So i do believe you have a chance for being awarded just like others who have been awarded.
Its all based around the help and support you need doing basic daily tasks. So if you need help and have difficulties with these then you should get some support. You've probably seen from this thread there is huge waits but hopefully you will get awarded.

PIP is based on care and /or mobility needs. ESA is based on your ability (or not) to work.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

So I was awarded enhanced mobility, which I'm happy with. I found out by finding the money in my account today. I'm extremely relieved as it will help pay for therapy amongst other things. I won't be claiming any other benefit but I was told on the phone there could be an entitlement for other benefits there. I feel extremely grateful and I can now pay off all debts incurred until this point and start again.
This process has been tough and I'm exhausted but after 37 weeks and a horrendous amount of anxiety, it's over.
I applied for mental health reasons and I did not have to appeal - just for those wondering and those who needed help. I have a personality disorder that is extremely disabling and struggle to take care of myself.
Edit: May have been enchanced daily living, lol.0 -
for anyone interested , i live in stoke on trent and applied for mental health problem , heres are the timescale of the prograss of my P.i.P claim :
21/1/14 claim made
28/1/14 claim pack arrived
29/1/14 sent off claim pack application
31/1/14 claim received by DWP
18/3/14 claim being assessed , waiting for F2F assessment
03/4/14 F2F assessment (Capita)
06/5/14 assessment report sent off by Capita (electronic copy)
22/5/14 P.I.P received hard copy.
23/5/14 claim with case manager
i was told that the claim decision should be made within 2-3 weeks now , so finger cross that it turn out well ! :S particularly i was terrible with the F2F assessment and just answer yes to everything she said .0 -
Been waiting well over the supposed "average waiting time" for a PIP assessment. I rang them up and they advised me to ring every so often to see if there is a cancellation. Is it worth ringing ATOS everyday to see if they have a cancellation or would it be better to ring every couple of days?0
